Reggie is really busy proving haters like you wrong, cashing some NBA checks, and rooting for all the guys who play for his Alma Mater, but I suspect he'd let you keep your crappy attitude all to yourself.

What are you even talking about? Can you read the thread?

Not to be the negative Nellie, but I've still got to see Falzon turn some sort of corner. I posted in the middle of the season that while I would love to see him become the guy we all felt we were getting when he committed, my untrained eyes still are just not seeing what most people seem to see in him. While it's probably more an indictment of my powers of observation than anything else, I just haven't seen anything leading me to believe we can expect him to be much more than the seventh or eighth guy in the rotation, assuming the incoming class is as good as it's cracked up to be. I'm ready and willing to chalk a fair amount of this up to his being less than 100% due to injuries, but next year that ought to be pretty much off the table. Seems to me that if Falzon IS, in fact, what many of us are saying he is, there's no reason we shouldn't expect a double-digit scoring average, along with probably 5-6 rebounds per game. That's not unreasonable, it's not off-the-charts-type production . . . it's just decent, solid production; something we should be able to expect from a 6'8" fourth-year junior who was a 4* recruit. If he isn't producing something at or near that level next season, all this talk about him being such a key piece is going to start sounding a bit off key. No one will be happier than I if he busts out next season, but it's fair to say we've reached the point where it needs to start tangibly happening -- if it's going to.

Can’t see Falzon starting, shot 35 percent from the field, less than 2 rebounds a game and is a defensive liability. Maybe he plays a Taphorn role as a designated zone buster, but even then he needs to be more consistent than 37 percent from three.
You saw Falcon at 50 percent, though, this year, if that.

Willy, you've got this all wrong. You need to respond to Mystic like this: Carmody sucks.

Mikey, next year is year 6!

You’re BC obsession is getting weird and unseemly. And, frankly, clogging up this board. Maybe find a Patriot board to post on.

If you’re pissed that CC gave us the 165th best team in the country again (100 slots behind NorthEASTERN), join the club. #Me too.

This is not what any of us wanted or thought we were getting more than half a decade ago.

We feel your pain.

Maybe CC10P can find 6 or 8 more D II teams for next year.

CC coached us to the Dance. THE DANCE! Oh, and I almost forgot -- Carmody sucks!

1) I think the one thing left out here is that Law and/or Pardon need to take another step. For Pardon, next year's Cats need that strong offense almost every game.

For Law, they need some more consistent outside shooting.

That's a foundational improvement NU will need if all the newcomers play like freshmen. They need Law and Pardon to be their security blankets.

2) I'm with Catreporter. This thing probably goes nowhere without a Lathon playing above a "replacement level." I don't think you need that much, but you need a guy who handles the ball without any problems, plays defense and can drop a couple threes every game.

I know this: NU can't win with Ash starting the B10 season at the lead guard.

3) I'd really like to see some size and defense somehow. Law, Turner and a skinny Nance just don't cut it on the boards or defense with Pardon. Hopefully Benson can become a regular option.

4) I'm with NURosBowl about Falzon. If Falzon is regularly in the starting lineup, I'd bet it will be a weak season.

A lot of people chalked Falzon's season up to injuries, but I'm not sure I buy it. He was available for a lot of games that he didn't play. He displayed the same poor footwork, mediocre-at-best defense and ugly drives to the basket that we've seen in past. Maybe it was injuries, but it sure looked like some the same traits we saw in his freshmen year.

Anyhow, he's a question. If I'm Collins, I give him about ten days in practice to demonstrate he's a different player. Otherwise, he comes off the bench after Gaines and maybe Benson.

5) Also, I'm not sure this will go anywhere next year without some un-freshman-like conference play from either Kopp or Nance.

6) A lot of people seem VERY excited about Turner. You'll have to excuse me if I smell pre-season excitement along the same lines as many of us saw for Tim Doyle. Remember the discussions of his three-point shooting?

Turner was the fourth leading scorer in conference on a 2-16 team. He also had the lowest DRtg on his team in conference. I hope he can be a solid contributor.

I’m surprised no one has proposed this lineup yet:

Lathon
Turner
Gaines
Law
Pardon

If you think of Turner as a Scottie type, and Gaines as a Sanjay...then you’ve got something akin to the team that made it to the Big Dance. Could pretty easily go back to man-to-man with this group. I generally like Falzon but he’s just a bit too slow and struggles with rebounding. I like him in a Taphorn role of instant offense in the second group, along with Kopp. Nance will be a starter eventually, of course.

(Also, I would not count on Rapolas or Isiah for any sort of playing time going forward.)

Curious if that is because he played the most minutes on a crappy team and a crappy defensive team. Did the players with the fewest minutes have the highest DRrg for that team?

On his shot...there's tape out there and it looks decent. Beyond that and a couple reported comments from NU staff, all is speculation.

Not at all. Two played more minutes and two others (maybe three) played a reasonably representative number of minutes in conference.
