I got a big old pile of 7" singles in the mail last week. One was the UK Bowie Diamond Dogs single. The B-side is awesome! It was recorded in 1970 and then re-recorded with the Spiders in 1971 and considered for the Ziggy album. It rocks! The guitar harmonies are far out! I think it references sex magic too, which is always appreciated.

Mick Ronson is my dude.

Another interesting one from that pile is this lesser-known James Brown single from '67. I find it fascinating because this one really shows the whip-crack band being led by the Godfather, especially on 'side 2' around 3:50. They jam but they are tight AF. They respond to his calls like it's all one body. Maceo gets bossed around alot which I love. The called out single, double, triple, and QUAD stops are so great!
