Last night I caught an old episode of Criminal Minds (not much on). The bad guy was supposed to be some hyper intelligent professor/serial killer. Something about the actor just wasn't believable at all and he was almost cartoonish. Then I realized it was Jason Alexander (George Costanza) in a Ben Franklin wig. He was just terrible and ruined the whole episode. I am sure that there are many worse castings. Who do you nominate?

My wife made me watch Maid in Manhattan for a date night once and I could get out of my head that her love interest was the same guy who was the psychopath in Red Dragon. I kept expecting him to abduct her and torture her. :chairshot:

Elba was the leading candidate to be the next James Bond if Daniel Craig refused the role. He is a very good actor but that would a horrible fit. You might check him out in the BBC detective series Luther.

I heard Craig reportedly said he'd rather slit his wrists than play the Bond role again.

Huh? I have yet to see anything I didn't love of Idris Elba. Even Prometheus, he was a bright spot. Also, I'd like to see what he has for James Bond.

That said, it is hard to see him as anything other than Stringer Bell. Same can be said for a lot of people in that show, especially Wood Harris/Avon.

Alternatively you could have imagined him (Ralph Fiennes):

Sending her the the gas chamber (as the Prison Commandant from Schindler's List).

Or

Casting an unforgivable curse on her (as Lord Voldemort)

If if took you any longer than .07 seconds to realize it was George Costanza then that's on you.

That stupid 24 remake.

Black Jack Bauer was HORRIBLE (Not because he was black. Because he's a ****** actor).

And the CTU lady happened to also play a similar role on Homeland so it magnified the piss poor writing in 24.

As a side note I will never see Rainn Wilson as anyone but Dwight Shrute or Ed O'Neil as anyone but Al Bundy.

Agreed about Wilson. O'Neil does a pretty decent job of somewhat ^ "shedding " his lifetime "known as " (Bundy) in Modern Family

Agreed- He was very good in The Wire (and did a cool voice over in Jungle Book)

If your going to basically make a softcore porn movie surely you can do better than this.

Yes I have been subjected to these first 2 pieces of crap movies. Had to throw the wife a bone (pun intended) for date night every now and then. At least it paid off for later those nights.[winking]

Nah. She was perfect for that. You can look at porn stars anytime.

Hot take....really liked Boardwalk Empire but I never could buy in on Buscemi in the main role.

As said above. Jack's.....Ryan and Reacher....are such well described literary characters that you have to wonder what was going on in casting. Obviously, Tom Cruise cast himself......but Ben Affleck?

And, I second The Duke as Genghis Khan.
