Hot take....really liked Boardwalk Empire but I never could buy in on Buscemi in the main role.

Agreed. Same with him in Sopranos...tho obviously not main role, but when he came in it was goofy and forced. The fact Sopranos was so well cast made it even worse.

Boardwalk was second/third rate compared to the greats, and buscemi as the lead was a large part of that.

Showgirls I should have remembered. Not sure I ever knew the girls name.
I'm not positive, but I believe it was Tits McGee.

Haven't seen it but I've always liked Collin Ferrel. That being said , I did hear season 2 was awful compared to the 1st

In fairness, it was more than just the characters. And I would say Ferrel's character was the least worst. I love Vince Vaughn, but he just didn't fit. His wife in the show might have had the worst acting of the year. Kitsch and Adams were throw-away.

It's hard to go from season 1, with a riveting plot about child sex crimes in the deep south.. to Season 2, which was corruption in a small LA district/county. It was doomed from the start.

In TV history, no one was better than Don Knott's as Barney. Warren as a replacement [sick]. Until Floyd was replaced with Emmit.

Whomever the stiff is who played Superman in Superman Returns.

I great story like Dances with Wolves can hide bad acting but Kevin Costner as Robin Hood was the absolute worst.

Ted Danson in Saving Private Ryan. Danson was 51 during filming which is about 20 years too old for the part. He will always be Sam the bartender to me.

Keanu Reeves as an Englishman in Dracula. His accent is terrible.

Marlon Brando in Apocalypse Now. Tried to hide the fact that the dude was way fat.

Ben Afflek in dazed and Confused was a perfect character for him. Also, playing the dumbass friend in Goodwill Hunting (sic on purpose) was fairly appropriate.

But I forgot about the guy who played "Harris" in Major League. Dude looked like he was 55 years old in that movie. Corbin Bernsen barely could pass for a ball player, but ol' Harris wasn't remotely believeable. Still a great movie though.

Harris was 46 when that came out. Bernsen was 35 believe it or not.

Michael Rapaport on Justified. I hated the guy before then, but I wanted him to DIAF the first time I heard him attempt a southern accent. Just an awful casting decision.

Yeah, a guy with one of the thickest New York accent playing like he was from the Bayou? Ugh no.

This one immediately comes to mind- Sofia Coppola in Godfather 3 (if no one has said that yet)

I see someone already beat me to it. This woman had zero chemistry with Andy Garcia. Brutal performance and it's one of the reasons why no one likes that movie while the other two were Best Picture winners.

As said above. Jack's.....Ryan and Reacher....are such well described literary characters that you have to wonder what was going on in casting. Obviously, Tom Cruise cast himself......but Ben Affleck?

And, I second The Duke as Genghis Khan.

Yeah. In the books, wasn't he a big 6-foot-4 guy like The Rock but they cast a shrimp like Cruise?
