Watching IU-UM
Talking about last time IU beat Michigan and a top 5 team( Purdue) , which was 1967. Added Heisman winner was Spurrier. Spurrier won in 66, Gary Beban won in 1967.

You don’t even have to write an article that’s factually correct anymore check out some of the stuff the Washington post runs with.

So many years later, 1966 and 1967 are basically the same. One long, blurred year.

They probably got that info from the media notes provided by the home team. So, my initial guess would be that the SID's office is responsible for that mistake, as they are the one who keep the info and publish the game notes.
Don't know for sure, but that's my initial thought.

Fox News, Newsmax, OAN, Wall Street Journal, Breitbart, right, hard.
WSJ is center, center-right. Not even the editorial page, which is more to the right than the rest of the paper, should be included in your group.

What network do you prefer?
I watch several of all those listed from both sides and form my own opinion without regurgitating back propaganda that was force fed to me day after day to follow a party line. The AP and BBC are pretty centrist. I’ll read them also. I have an issue with people acting like ALL the media is biased. For the most part, people seek out the media that tells them what they want to hear, which really isn’t reporting the news at all and isn’t helping the listener form their own informed conclusion.

No. It’s right and it doesn’t try to hide it. It’s owned by Rupert Murdoch.

Should maybe fact check? If they are showing, it is on them. There are a few more( not many) people who would know that

I tend to prefer CNBC, rather than getting the network/anchors opinion, I like hearing the comments from the many individuals they interview….then make my assessment….

For some reason, you felt the need to turn a conversation about football announcers political. Not sure why, but here we are.
Actually Pool Boy noted “a lot of journalism is suspect “….not football specific, I noted the 3 most watched major networks slant their reporting a certain direction, supporting Pool Boy’s observation…

Fair enough, but you started the conversation by taking a stance and picking a side, so you had to suspect someone would respond with a counterpoint to your post.

That’s interesting. Fox News and it’s followers claim that it is the most watched news network and it’s pretty darn biased.

Sure. I was pointing out the possible/probable source of the info that was relayed.
Hopefully someone points it out and they correct it and learn to double-check each time. (odds on that?!)

Most news "articles" these days seem to be mostly computer generated.

Maybe they meant that at the time they won the game, Spurrier was the current Heisman winner, since Beban wasn't picked till December??
