In the Jefferson Forest-GW Danville game last night:\

JF 330 yards rushing 294 Passing
GW 256 yards rushing 287 Passing

That is the way to play offense.

When a team throws the ball, it softens up defenses. When a team runs up middle 45 times a game defense can pack it in the box. When they pass ball, it forces defense to defend a broader piece of the field.
Passing opens up the run game.

Like we have discussed every week it seems like, there is no perfect offense for everyone. I think Riverheads, Giles, Staunton River, etc would disagree you can't run the ball all the time and be successful. And I would be willing to bet that the others (I know Riverheads) wouldn't be as successful if they tried to do it your way

Those teams you mentioned are an exception to policy. But the other 98% fit my offense philosphy.

Lol ok, whatever you say my man. You are certainly one of a kind. With all this conversation about teams coaching sucks, maybe you can take over with your philosophy.

In all seriousness, while there are no perfect offenses, or schemes, there are certainly ones that fit teams better than others. The perfect scheme is what gives a team the best chance to win.

But I finally realized why you keep on with this throwing is best, every team in world should run spread, etc. And it's not like you tried to hide it, just had to put 2 and 2 together. You say that because it's what you like to watch. You would rather see a high scoring game with 90% passing over a low scoring defensive running game. You would rather see a team throw the ball 50 times and complete 10 as opposed to a well oiled wing offensive machine. Well that's is what you like, not my cup of tea, I certainly enjoy a 17-14 game more than a 57-56 game, but that's what you like so you should enjoy what you like.

But, I'd be willing to bet, and I'm not a betting man, that if it were possible to go back and find champion for every state every year, that majority of them are running teams, even heavy running teams as opposed to throw it all over the field teams
