I confess I was holding out hope that he would reconsider NU on the second time around. This strikes me as a really odd choice.

GW is a perfectly fine institution. But in that part of the country only Georgetown and UVA are NU's peers from an academic standpoint (for most jobs/professions those 3 schools are interchangeable ) and from an athletic standpoint the A10 is not even remotely close to the Big 10.

He would have gotten tons of playing time at NU. What am I missing?

He reneged on his verbal to NU, correct? Given the circumstances I would be surprised if we reached out again.

When he flipped from NU I believe he said he wanted to be closer to home. GW/DC is a lot closer for him than Evanston. He will also be a really big get for GW even if his year at VT was decidedly underwhelming as was GW’s year. As bad a season as NU had, l think they handle GW fairly easily.

Imagine where this program would be if Bamisile and Lathon had come. (The same place.)

I'm curious, is that because you don't think we need him or because you don't think he will turn out to be an all-conference type player?
Yes.

I haven't seen him play much, but the fact he got so little playing time at VaTech does not bode well for him. Plus we have similar wing players already on the team, starting with Audige, and others like Roper and Simmons coming in.
