Not entirely. Brown's system revolved around the screen pass. Gran's is more focused on the short pass using rub routes, which is probably ideal for Kentucky considering how many big receivers we have. Difficult to stop big receivers that gain separation, and the system Gran uses is designed to cause separation with pick plays. He does use screens on occasion though, and he does implement designed runs for the QB to the point where the defense actually has to account for the QB as a rushing threat, but he won't run him 20 times a game like Brown would.
