I remember the eku 7 on 7 the first couple years stoops was here and we got very bad Intel. I hope we get as much good news this summer as possible.
There are 2 huge keys to our 2016 season, and Drew Barker is definitely 1 of those. The other is our defensive line. The key to the season...if he performs at a high level, the Cats could surprise and do damage.
Offensive line improvement has to be in the equation. Specifically improvement at the tackle position. It won't matter how much Drew has improved if he is on his back most of the time. There are 2 huge keys to our 2016 season, and Drew Barker is definitely 1 of those. The other is our defensive line.
Without question, offensive line improvement is important. I have some concerns about our offensive tackles, but I feel a lot better about our offensive line than our defensive line. We have some returning experience on our offensive line. We have very little returning experience on our defensive line, and that is a big concern.Offensive line improvement has to be in the equation. Specifically improvement at the tackle position. I agree but at the same time I also incorporate into my thinking about this program that most of Stoop's player's are just now becoming upperclassmen. I think that is a huge factor that is forgotten too much too often.Like a lot of the rest of you the only thing that's going to convince me is winning games come September. I think most of us are tired of being disappointed after a lot of hype. I appreciate enthusiastic fans who try to keep a positive attitude, but with all the cost pressures and entertainment alternatives we've got to start winning some games beyond the middle of October.
