....after Jeremy Foley retires on October 1st. With his track record at UK, that really boggles the mind.

Why do you assume Vandy would put up with it? They've been better than us lately.

Kentucky is literally the weakest football program in the SEC, including Vandy.

Unless things have changed Vandy doesn't have an AD.

UK's working on what, the 7th straight year with a losing record in football? Tell me what AD in the SEC minus Vandy would be allowed to do that?
What AD at UK would be able to survive it the last time the men's basketball team was in the tournament was...
2003 like Auburn
2004 like S. Carolina
2009 like Mississippi St
2012 like Alabama
2013 like Missouri

Barnhart is terrible and I would bet if you ran a poll, he'd have around 20% approval or lower. It couldn't be above 30% and really if you only polled individuals that know and understand the situation in its entirety, it could be lower than 10%.

When cal leaves we have a big problem. A terrible football program and an AD that has made really bad hires in basketball. Hopefully the brass won't let him make the hire, much like last time when the rug was pulled from under him. Hell, he passed on Cal the first time because he was never going to hire a guy with his rep, we are just lucky Cal was still available.

I pray that Barnhart is long gone before Cal leaves. If Barnhart is still here, WE ARE TOAST IN BASKETBALL...may as well face it.

He doesn't like to fundraise, fails at hiring(spectacularly), makes millions and gets a contract extension to 2022. Wish I had majored in "Athletic Director"

oh please
oh please what?

People were coming unglued because Tubby couldn't get back to the Final Four in 9 tries after winning it all his first year. Made 3 Elite 8s, never missed the tourney but that wasn't good enough.

CBB doesn't move the needle at other schools because they see FB for what it is.......the dominant money-sport on the CFB landscape. CBB has about 4 weeks in the sun in March.....otherwise it is insignificant nationally. All other SEC schools get it, UL gets it, WVU, etc, etc, etc, but not UK.

However, let's look at UKBB for one moment. At UK, you can make a terrible BB hire (BCG), get bailed out when the decision is later taken out of your hands (Cal), and get a pay raise and contract extension. More evidence of the savvy business minds at work and drawing paychecks in BBN. Clown show!

No one cares about basketball except us, Duke, UNC, Kansas, Indiana, sort of Syracuse, sort of Louisville, and every once in a while UCLA. That is literally the entire list. Everyone pretends to care in March so they can fill out brackets and stuff, but on a year round basis these are the only colleges that care one bit about Basketball.

Not a coincidence, but most of those football teams suck too.

who cares more.....

the rest of the SEC about college basketball, or UK fans about college football? Is that a serious question, does someone really think it is close or equivalent?

it is why the comparison always pisses me off so much, "Welp UK is awful at football but so is Alabama at basketball, what's the difference?!?" The difference is places like Bama or Georgia or Auburn could go 0-28 and not give a single flip....heck going undefeated would not shake them from following recruiting signing day & important position battles for Spring football.

but UK fans, us, we are burning up inside wanting a program we can be proud of and have demonstrated it with our appearances at the '13 & '14 spring game, with the demands for financial investments in the program.

Exactly. Total sham that he is not only retained, but lauded by our joke of a president.

No it wasn't good enough. And Barnhart was still trying to retain him after all of it.

You are such a joke. It's really hard to know where to begin.

Not to mention something that goes widely unnoticed.

What football program in the SEC has the same ****** history as UK? You're not comparing apples to apples here.

not sure of need to insert bb here. I guess the message is barnhart can stay forever because he's at a school that only cares about bb in a conference that couldn't care less.
