With baseball season fast approaching, what is everyone's expectation for this season. What's our chances of winning the west? Or even the SEC?

They have some upperclassmen and are very experienced and D J Baxendale is a pretty good ace. I think we will probably finish second or third in the SEC- we just aren't as good as Arkansas. LSU has some internal issues right now. If they can straighten things out, they'll certainly have a good shot of winning. If we win some key series like against Arkansas at home, Vandy at home, Auburn on the road- we have a shot.

Florida will probably win the SEC. They have no less that two guys that are supposed to be first round picks in Mike Zunino and Brian Johnson, and then they have a couple that are 1-3 round picks in Hudson Randall and Nolan Fonatana.

We have young talent, that part is certain.....but, we don't have the experienced leadership like the team had last year. I see us doing a little better in conference this season, probably mid-SEC level team. Go to Hoover, make a regional, but probably get bounced in it. <div>
</div><div>2013 we will contend for the SEC and regional hosting. Too much talent and too much coaching not to.</div>

about how loaded Florida is going to be.

I forgot all those guys were freshmen and sophomores last year.

that makes us top 30-35 in the nation. Our pitching needs to start off well, because the offense will be a work in progress.

I think you're about right, coach. I do think we have enough young talent that if we get hot in the postseason, we could make a run similar to last year.
