He was not only a great player, but also a "baseball educator." He knew more about baserunning than anybody else that I've heard talk about the subject. "Little Joe" also was color blind, which added to his likeability. Sorry to see him go.

I hate to hear this. He was a great player and a great person. I grew up watching the Big Red Machine and went to Riverfront Stadium many times to watch them.
