Based on who we are and the schedule left to play, do we...

Dance ?

I see 4 games with an 80% chance or more of winning. The rest are 50/50 at best IMHO. I think 6 is the minimum needed to make the tourney.

What say you ?

Surely Duke can win this Saturday. I know playing at NC State is tough, but at the same time, this is a 10-8 NC State team that 0-5 in the ACC. Duke will beat NC State when they come to Cameron, and they will also beat Wake at Cameron. The rest of the remaining games can go either way.

The problem is they are still Duke and State will be amped for this game. Duke plays like tonight again and we will be on a 4 game skid. That's part of wearing a Duke uni. It will be States national championship

Did you by chance watch State play UNC on Saturday at UNC? It was no blowout. It will be a struggle as will every other ACC game we play this year. We're just up against it right now but we are DUKE and we can do it!

Yes I did. I thought NC State might have a chance to win the ball game. I'm just hoping Duke comes out and plays like they did against Virginia Tech. You are exactly right. If they play like they did last night, they will have a great chance to be on a 4 game losing streak and NC State is hungry right now to beat Duke, but Duke is going to be even hungrier for a win and stand more to lose from it, so that's why I say that surely Duke will beat NC State this Saturday.

Not counting the ACCT Ken Pomeroy projects Duke to finish 9-9 in ACC and 20-11 overall.

The wild card is when or if Amile returns this year. Pomeroy projections would be based on Amile having played the first 10 games but probably under reflect him not being in at least the next several.

He has Duke with same ACC record as FSU and Syracuse either in the 8-9 game or the 7-10 game of ACCT with not a huge chance of getting into the group of 5 teams ending 11-7 in the ACC, nor of falling to the couple with 7-11 records

Proj Team
14-4 North Carolina
13-5 Louisville

11-7 Virginia
11-7 Miami FL
11-7 Notre Dame
11-7 Pittsburgh
11-7 Clemson

9-9 Duke
9-9 Florida St.
9-9 Syracuse

7-11 Georgia Tech
7-11 Virginia Tech

5-13 North Carolina St.
5-13 Wake Forest

2-16 Boston College

8 or 9 seed in big dance. Imagine being the team which earns 1 seed & seeing us in the 2nd round with Amile.

We won it all in 2015 so you cannot complain about having a down year with our senior leader out of the lineup.

National Championship or making the Tourney is the farthest thing from my mind right now. I am only concerned with Saturday and NC State. We all know Duke gets everyone's best shot, but now they will really want to "kick" us while we're down.
We must take one game at a time, hope we stay injury free, and hope that "K" and staff can come up with a great plan "b".
If we can concentrate on one at a time, there is enough ability in this group to still have a pretty good year.
Go Duke!!

That gets us in. And if you're a 1 seed we might be the worst 8/9 seed anyone could ever wanna see. I can't imagine getting a one and looking at a Duke second rnd matchup. Very very similar to the year UK was one and went to the championship. I'm not saying we will make it but that's a scary second round opponent

I think we'll dance, but we've got to stop the bleeding because the blood is in the water and all the rest of the ACC teams can smell it. Confidence and momentum can change quite quickly...it has from just 4 games ago...and it can change just as quickly again if our guys can gut through this. I'm really anxious to see how our Devils respond to the next game.
