How bout you cool it with the insults and name calling or you will be enjoying a short vacation. And you're the last picked. Enjoy it, fatty.
Gretna I'm assuming your dad is Rick H?? Dude had some serious ups.My vertical is about 12", but my dad was a big track guy in high school and college. He had a 42" vert. Had a 7'-1-2" high jump in college, at 5'7". The dude can jump. Still does Nebraska state games and jumps over his head (in his 50's).
There is no real point to this post other than my dad can jump higher than your dad. And probably could beat your dad up (because he is a super young dad in his early 50s and your dad is probably older and in worse shape. He plays basketball twice a week, so suck on that).
Edit- He may still hold a state record for most points scored in a track meet. Not sure though. Definitely holds some records for Fremont High.

Touched a nerve for some reason, huh Captain? That's true, so zip it. Exactly how would I benefit from lying about the numbers I posted? What would my motivation be? Not that I care what you think, because you've shown me in the past that you're a mind-numbed buffoon, but tell me what I would gain from lying about the numbers.
Anyone can jump. But not anyone can forget their jock, secretly polish off a bag of Cheetos on the sideline, then play 3/4 of a football game when the guy in front of me got hurt like I did in 1973. I truly was the man.
I had a 350 on Saturday. But it was downhill and assisted by a 40 mph tailwind. Lucky to be 280-300 anymore.Quick...how many of you hit 350 yard drives AND usually shoot even par?
you should know by now that a large number of RSS posters are not only great athletes but also pull a six figure income, date the hottest women, drive a sportscar, have a full head of hair and have a huge package!World class athletes abound on here.

I don't know why you would lie, but it was 35 god damn years ago. Lmao, still calling people fatty and douche into your fifties. Whatever keeps you young.
Haven't seen or talked to your dad in 35 yrs. He was part of some pretty impressive track teams. Was always fun watching a 5'7" guy dunk when goofing in the gym. Coach Murphy could coach up some jumpers back in the day. I was a wanna be. Thank God for baseball!Yep. Don't tell him I drunkingly posted about him on a message board. He would be confused and probably embarrassed.
Don't lump me in. No way I can compare to you.OK, you're on the team. So...we have Jimmy from Seinfeld, an athletic LB type, John Daly, and a baton twirler. Who's next?

You should be very proud of your Dad adopted or not, does not matter! He sounds to be about my age, I was 5' 9" in high school and high jumped 6' 1" my senior year to hold the school record for one week before a freshman jumped 6' 4" the next week lol. My Son loved sports but was not gifted athletically, in fact he was the kid that when picking teams would be the last one picked so you never know with bloodlines. On the other hand my Dad now in his 70's was 3rd team All State (Iowa) in 8 man football back when there were more 8 man teams than 11 man teams before schools consolidated. He is my adopted father, so I definitely didn't inherit his hops. In middle school I tried high jump because it was his thing. I was terrible. I played OL and soccer on high school. Track wasn't my thing. I was as terrible at jumping.
At a meet in middle school I was embarrassing myself, which I am fine with, but a guy that wa running the jump asked me if I was XXX's son. I had to say yes and at that moment I realized that my dad was a 'name' in the Nebraska high school track world and I was soiling his highly regarded name. At that moment, as a 7th grader, resolved to never jump again.
My poor dad had 5 kids, none did track in HS. His only son (by blood) was a huge soccer player. Couple time AllState in soccer. Almost comical considering his past and that he still coaches HS track.
So long story short, that's a running vertical......
Curious as to what your dad is doing these days. If you'd rather not say I get it.That's cool to hear. And you are right about Coach Murphy. He was a great coach and I am lucky he was (is) in my dads life because there is no way my dad is where he is today with Murphy. Not a chance.

Just kidding @Razorhawk2
I said that because your son's situation sounds a lot like mine. My father was crazy athletic, but his athletic genes didn't quite carry over to me as I was average at best while loving sports.

I seriously doubt anybody on this board had a 33" standing vertical. The average NBA vertical jump is only 28". Terran Petteway jumped 25" at the NBA combine. Blake Griffin jumped 32". Steph Curry's is 29".
Now if you measure after steps or a running start, that's another story. But for a standing vertical jump with no steps, 33" is better than most NBA players. I'd like to know which type of vertical jump was measured, standing or running.
