Basketball vs Clemson

The basketball team has done what they’re supposed to do, at least per the scoreboard the last couple of games but have Clemson tonight.

Hoping that there’s a repeat of last season- in that coming into the game Clemson looks like the better team but SC got the W. Win on the boards and don’t shoot stupid 3’s. Do that and you always have a chance.

Also this game time continues to be stupid. Long been a gripe that most students are gone for winter break. Can’t even get it on a Saturday. Will miss most if not all the first half due to a high school game tonight.

If we play like we did against The Citadel we'll get smoked. Yeah we won by 16 but played poorly against one of the worst teams in the country. Hopefully we are ready tonight.

If the season trajectory doesn't change, I'll be making my annual "we should hire Gregg Marshall" argument in a few weeks.

I literally could substitute this team to a so far undefeated season. Lamont almost substitute like he wants to lose. Essandako, Strong, Mongolian, Meechie and Knox best lineup. Essando is a man in the middle and gets rebounds and alters shots. Paris pulls him with us up 7 only a few minutes into game. He doesn’t come back until we’re down six or seven. We start coming back. He takes him out again. Now we’re down 10. We have to have size or we are sunk because we have no inside out presence otherwise. It’s not hard.

Not gonna be a fun men’s BB season, this team will not be .500

These guys won't play help defense on a drive to the basket for nothing in the world. They have lost 2 games this year because of it and it continues tonight. I have seen enough from Paris.

It’s more frustrating because there’s not a game this year we should’ve lost. Had he substituted correctly. They showed the stat where we had only 1.3 rebounding advantage. That’s pitiful. He’s let every team pound us on the boards for maximum minutes until he finally puts in the big guys and then we start coming back. But it’s too late. I don’t get it. When you have no one that you can lob a pass into for a kick out pass you’re in trouble.

Clemson is definitely the best team we have played so far , so not a bad half, but good lord, have to hit some 3’s. Without Ellis have to hope meechie gets it going in the 2nd half.

I was told by an old timer fan on here that for football you're an awful fan if you are frustrated that we lose games we could/should win. GOOD fans find joy in losing those games.
