RockSoup,

Please remit $2k to the Sisters of St Joseph poor box at the game on Saturday for your advertisement!

On a positive note, I guess Naz has made it to the Chicago Blue bloods of football if St Rita is using Naz to advertise their testing day!
Indeed! Cut me some slack tho.

1) I was involved in a 10 page 16k view enjoyable thread last week. This week’s SR thread, although it’s slated to be a monster game, won’t gain traction because no one knows, or admit to knowing M’KI’s status for the game, so I was bored and jumped into this potential 10 pager.

2) Blame epic. I know he’s admitted in the past of someone in his family tree attended St. Rita so I took a calculated risk that the ‘posse wouldn’t beat me up too badly

3) Blame boredom and epic again

Whew!! So after 22 pages of talk...who is going to win? There doesn’t seem to be a lot of chatter about how does Batavia score? Naz D has been impressive thus far...Can the bulldogs drive on them?

Batavia will move the ball on the ground and when Naz starts to stack the box, they hit the younger Urwiler kid on a deep route to keep the defense honest.

Naz will move the ball through the air. Their pass game is up there with the best in Hs football anywhere.

This game will come down to who avoids costly mistakes and who avoids key injuries. All trolling and stone busting aside this game will be a treat to watch with 2 teams that really know how to play football.

RockSoup,

it was the perfect storm, Pa school knocked out, Sales quota filled for the year, and I’ve been at a Trade show this week.

To whomever put up the $1k bet, I’ll do better by having The Penn State coaches make a visit and get those guys offers if they are truly running laser 4.47s(ok send the documented proof so I can show them Saturday) and stud receivers and tailback as a Soph in High school.

Speaking of Penn St., maybe an interesting game this weekend although they are 14.5 point favorites.
Indiana’s Penix has been performing well.

That's what they usually say when being made to look ridiculous. Good deflection but does not work coming from another posse*

I've tried the same defense in the past...

I think epic will take exception to that. His family is from Marist.

The dad of all those Marist grads is a former Rita Valedictorian. Rock is correct.
Valedictorian? Darn I didn’t know that.

Good luck this weekend and thanks all Naz and Bat fans for letting me play in your sandbox this week. My little snippet on the game and my prediction is on the ESCC/CCL thread. Peace all.

Unless Murphy’s Law comes into effect, Naz wins this one comfortably....though Murphy does tend to show up this time of year...

Tick-Tock

4.47 and a 4.51 aren't 1st round picks but ill be there with a $1000 wager

Gene,

it was a horrible weekend of football for our family, period. That said Minnesota played a great game and beat the boys from Happy Valley. The Minnesota Receivers, QB and RB are very good and their Lines are solid. Will PJ have these guys in Minny a perennial power? The jury is still out but I think the possibility is high.

This week Indiana Indiana Indiana Indiana Indiana Indiana Indiana Indiana Indiana!

Great Post Jwar! But what the hell happened to Penn State versus Minnesota! I was very surprised by the outcome of the game. Does the former Western Michigan coach have Penn State's number?

If there's any more interest in this thread or not I have a question for the Roadrunner faithful..

Who was the tougher game last year, Batavia or SCN..?

Batavia easy. Only reason SCN game was as close as it was is due to MCCarthy having a broken throwing hand thumb from practice earlier in the week. Had to have post game surgery.

This. Batavia was State Championship game last year. Nubin was special but Naz had a few athletes that were pretty special too, they neutralized Nubin and that was it.

This. He was casted up Wednesday - Saturday about 2 hours before the game when he cut it off.

I’m super excited about this matchup. Last years semi final was a good game that was swung on a couple big plays. Nazareth doesn’t really have those big play guys this year, or at least not as many of them. I would say that despite their record Naz doesn’t seem to be as good as last year, they haven’t looked like they’ve put in a full 4 quarter game on both sides of the ball yet. Maybe that’s coming or maybe they don’t have that capability. I’m expecting a heck of game Saturday but am also very nervous about it. Naz is pretty healthy at this point so that’s good, only loss during the year is their Kicker but they have a suitable replacement.

Batavia guys want to give me a quick scout? I haven’t seen you guys play this year.
They dont play anyone in the regular season

Didn't know that.. Tough kid. Was it closer? Thought Naz pretty much kicked their butt, it was never close.. May be I'm remembering..

21 points if I remember right and started sitting on lead and eating clock pretty early.... healthy QB and not cautious late had potential for running clock in my opinion.

I'm just glad the game is at Nazareth because when all my cohorts would ask where to eat in Batavia I'd be screwed and googling "Best place to eat near Batavia that's not in Geneva". Whew.
