For those with interest, looks like SciFi is running a true marathon of the entire series......every single episode (I believe) in order.......from beginning to end, 24 hours/day, beginning midnight tomorrow thru (I think) Thursday morning.

I need to sit down and watch them again. Such a good show.

I recall you were a big fan; truthfully, I was thinking about you personally when I made this post. In fact, don't I recall that you were acquainted with......or perhaps friendly with.....the producer, Moore (I don't remember his first name) ??

I grew to really really like the show.

It wasn't Moore that I knew but Richard Hatch, who played the original Apollo. He approached our company about getting help in bringing Galatica back to TV but was struggling with getting through to Universal (who had the rights). We had a relationship with an exec there (from another project), but they weren't interested in dealing with him. I was a fan of the original show as a kid (had the toys and such) and so getting to spend time with Hatch was fantastic, and made me really want to see him involved with the show again. He eventually shot a short film/trailer, a continuation of the original story, that he funded mostly from his own pocket and had gotten a number of the original cast to appear in. When he brought it over to show us, he was so hopeful that he'd get a chance to make it. He had even written books about the show.

There's talk that they are going to bring the show back, maybe re-boot it again.
