I believe Kwame Evans from Oregon entered today. 6’9” forward that was a former top 20 recruit. Averaged 13.6 points, 7 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game. Not very efficient though shooting 42% from the field
He’ll be in the top 50 in the transfer portal rankings. I’d expect us to contact him at least. He’s better than our 4s but probably not as good as I want our next 4 to be…if that makes sense lol.
It doesn't seem like players coming from P5 schools improve all that much. Even Oweh just got more PT, for the most part, coming from Oklahoma. But Reid Travis, Wheeler, Tre Mitchell, Carr, Garrison, Dioubate, Quaintance, and Lowe all seemed to be rather similar players.
Like Oweh, Aberdeen only went from 15 to 17 PPG (per 40 minutes) as well.
Tsheibwe was the only P5 transfer player that improved as he moved "laterally".
I am not sure Saunders would have started on last year’s team. I think he would have been a sixth man of the year candidate.
hope this is our starting center next year. 6'10" skill set and ability similar to amari, but without the bulk. can dribble it coast to coast, run the offense from the top of the key. shot 30% from three last year. 80% from the line.
