The crime isn't the point. You SHOULD be able to see that, but keep being you.

Male teens. You should go out there and start asking people their ages and checking for testicles. I t ' s t h e r e p o r t i n g, Mushy; no race, no tattoos, no anything but age ranges and gender. Considering it's SF, assumed gender is blatantly some kind of ism. Shameful.

White, Asian, Hispanic, African American....you know, something identifiable that will make it easier to determine the culprits?
They have video, according to the report. So they know who they are looking for. Race or ethnicity isn't relevant considering they have them on video.....don't you think? Do you get enraged when news report "A black male" or "A white female" and no age or distinguishing features? That happens, too. But doesn't fit the agenda, I guess.

Example #1 (locally): the only description of the suspect of the murder is "a guy" and the witness said she never got a good look at the suspect's face........Ummm, again, no age range, race, features, etc?

Every detail that could identify the guy should be given.

I don't disagree, but I gave you an example locally in West Virginia where a description from an eye witness was just "a guy".
Selective picking of stories to fit a possible agenda.......and you know what I'm talking about.....
What agenda? The story chosen didn't list the guy's race. It doesn't matter where it occurred or what race it was. The point they are making and one that I agree with is the media, police as well, are being retarded. It doesn't matter where it occurs or what race it is. It's dumb to not list applicable classifications that might help lead to an arrest.
Did he have his teeth? The public should know if the gang was white, black or hispanic in case they see a group of guys and that they should avoid them, for their own safety.
A description should be as complete as possible, if the intent is to capture. Ever feature in the picture is going to eliminate those who do not fit. No reason to hassle those who do not possess most of the features. At least enough features that tend to eliminate. Height and weight should be considered only within reason. Consider a perp described as 5'8 and 150 pounds. Don't overlook 6'4 and 230 lbs. if the witness is 5'0 and 175. Witness may compare, and it may be difficult when a gun barrel is rested on your nose.
Should they know if the perps were black?White? Hispanic? male, female, wheel chair bound? Good police work is profiling.
