But if I were going to express an opinion I would if the only acceptable opinion is that any team except Mt Airy should win Friday. Maybe Mt Airy should not even show up.

As long as my reputation does not fall along the lines that some on here have. Bragg, Bragg, Bragg, then condemn condemn condemn when anyone else says positive supportive things about their team.

I have never, not even once done anything but be supportive of Mt Airy, every team Mt airy has played, all teams in the county, and every team in this state. In my opinion, Buzzcoach does not come close to some blowhearts on here.

But I do appreciate your concern.

Now for the real post addressing the original question:
Starmount has really turned their season around, they have grown so much because they a) have good players; and b) they have a really good coaching staff.

That being said, I do believe Mt Airy will pitch another shut out but I do not know if they will have a running clock. I think they will get close but not sure if they will score more than 40 points.

I also think it is pretty interesting that 2 conferences have 2 teams in the west final 8 and 4 conferences that have 1 member in the west final 8. That says we are fairly well spread in talent I would think.

3 conferences have 2 teams. North Rowan and Thomasville are in the same conference. Mitchell and Eastern Randolph are the sole surviors. Well, Eastern Randolph was the only 1a in their conference lol.

Well, considering ER's conference only has one other 1A school (that doesn't play football), they really can't do much about that scenario.
