An actual example of a deep out was Kmet’s TD catch against Carolina. The ball was thrown on a line over 30 yards between 2 defenders. You can’t call that play with Bagent at QB. He’s not capable of making that throw. He simply does not have the arm strength.

Just watched a few replays and that pass was great due to its placement. It was dropped in a bucket not on a line. I'm fairly confident Bagent can throw the ball 30 yards in the air.

Exactly. I’m also not saying he won’t be effective. I’m saying he can’t make all the throws Caleb can make. Doesn’t mean he can’t get the job done.

Based on what? Four games he started as a rookie he went 2-2 which is pretty damn impressive when you consider he was playing d2 ball 8mo prior.
I find it interesting that last year Loveland was brought along very slowly but two games in Roush seems to have a much larger role....and it is not going well so far.
Tom Pellissero is reporting Caleb avoided any major injury to his hammy and Bears are not ruling him out for Eagles. Which they shouldn't until they have to. I doubt he plays for a few weeks but sounds positive for sure.
Sounds like it's going to be a nagging injury all year and we shouldn't expect as much scrambling.
Ya, that certainly takes away a major threat in his arsenal, especially with a leaky OL at times.

Two separate plays Caleb drops back, steps up in pocket, makes correct read, throws a good ball and Roush drops it. The one near end zone wasn’t easy but you make that catch in NFL….but something something hero ball all day. He will adjust when he comes back, I’m more worried about the scramble for first down than the avoiding pressure and turning it into a big play. He’s gotten much better at seeing a lane and taking the first down from beginning of last year to now. I’ll also add, many times when Caleb is scrambling away from pressure keeping plays alive he ends up throwing ball away instead of the infamous hero ball or taking a loss. This is another aspect which he has improved upon.

Bagent in concussion protocol. Looking like Keenum could start on Monday. Can't make this stuff up.
The biggest is accuracy on the gimmies, but you know that. Don't have enough data this year to really say if he improved on that or not.
Every QB in the NFL is always trying to improve his awareness and reads, no matter who you are. Teams try to throw new things at you to confuse. Caleb is no different that he can improve in that department. If you watched closely last week he went through his progression, when he could, and had to check down cause no one was open for whatever reason. But that seems to be left out.
With a QB like Williams, OC/HC walk a fine line in reining him in but also letting him do the things he does that are special. He made a garbage throw/decision on the pick, it happens. The thing is, that doesn't happen all that often. Sometimes you have to live with a little of the bad to get the things only a few can do in NFL.

His HC pointed out that was the main focus of improvement over the offseason.

I've now watched the all-22 2x. Below is my frustration with Caleb. He hits his back football and Rome and Roush are both open but he doesn't pull the trigger. It turns into hero ball and he runs around and finds Rome for a 15 yard gain.
Verses....Bagent hit his back foot and gets the ball to his #1 read on time with great anticipation.

That means absolutly nothing to me. I could dig up screen shots of any QB in the history of the NFL and find the exact same thing. This happens every year on twitter. People post screen shots and they have no idea of the progression etc...You are cherry picking screen shots to prove your point that you think Bagent is better. And before you say anything you said "If Caleb ever goes down - Bagent ain’t giving the spot back".
It's a tired argument. Maybe we will see this week maybe we won't, Bagent is in concussion protocol.

I know progressions as well and this isn't about who knows more or has what coaching background. But screen shots don't tell the whole story all the time and I know you know this.
