Ben's the greatest offensive mind alive until he gets inside the 20 and he sh*ts the bed.Once again, getting too cute in the red zone.

Yep. Can’t cover and has no interest in tackling.Jaylon with two pathetic open field tackling "attempts"
Guessing that if walker were better he'd be on the field.Man Williams is good......obviously he still can't scramble the way he wants but he is on point with his throws. Probably 4 drops or his stats would have been even better.
I can't believe Jaylon Johnson is a multimillionaire for his craft.
#13, Thomas, the wasted pick.....he shouldn't be on the field accept for kicks. Play Walker.
He must really suck then....we'll see next gameGuessing that if walker were better he'd be on the field.
Can’t take that sack. Santos bailed him out.Caleb got the same results sometimes but puts way too much effort to get there by instinctively running backwards or running in circles in the pocket before throwing it.
Stevenson is not great and has been banged up. Muhammad hurt a toe yesterday. If those two guys are healthy enough and Gordon can somehow remain available, the Bears need to seriously consider finding a spot on the bench for JJ. Doesn’t matter what he’s being paid. He’s been awful all year.Jaylon with two pathetic open field tackling "attempts"
If only that were true, but the NFL is first and foremost a business so it will always matter what someone is getting paid, unfortunately.Stevenson is not great and has been banged up. I stopped following the other thread, can you please define what being elite constitutes these days? The QB of the Chicago Bears is playing at an elite level…ya you read that correctly.
Btw, Ben Johnson is a psycho and I’m here for it.
nobody knows…I stopped following the other thread, can you please define what being elite constitutes these days?
You didn’t mention the terrible interception Maye threw. Caleb taking that sack was a big error, but Maye’s interception in the red zone was the biggest QB error of the game. At the time the Bears were up 13-7, but NE was driving for the go ahead score. The Bears then went down the field and took a 20-7 lead. If not for that complete breakdown by the Bear defense at the end of the half, the Maye interception would have been viewed as the play that changed momentum and lost the game for the Patriots. You simply cannot throw that interception. Maye has been more prone to the big interception than Caleb thus far in their careers. Both QBs played well tonight so this is a good game to compare the two. Maye just looks smoother to me. Caleb is far more athletic, but Maye seems more calm in the pocket and handled the pressure well and either stepped up or side stepped to avoid the rush and found an open receiver.
Interceptions are never good and Maye's was particularly bad, but mistakes like that get magnified in a loss. Santos misses the kick at the end and the Bears end up losing and today everyone would be roasting Caleb for taking the sack and Johnson for not punting it away. Wins make mistakes go away. You didn’t mention the terrible interception Maye threw. I don’t disagree with most of what you say. What I like about Caleb this year is he’s improved in the areas he needed to work on. He’s more accurate. He’s taking the check downs more often. He’s throwing the ball away when there’s nothing open. All of that tells me he listens and is coachable. I agree both guys are good QBs. It will be interesting to see who has the better career.Interceptions are never good and Maye's was particularly bad, but mistakes like that get magnified in a loss. None of that changes what I said about Maye looking more comfortable and smoother in the pocket on a regular basis. They're both good at what they do, they just have different skill sets. Right now I see Maye as more of a pure QB and Caleb as more of an athlete.
Maye isn't making that throw to Odunze on third and long. So SMOOOOOOOOOTH.Interceptions are never good and Maye's was particularly bad, but mistakes like that get magnified in a loss. May have been his last game as a Bear as well.Kmet going down will be felt. Not season altering but they run a lot of 12 packages and now we are down to Rusch as the 2nd TE unless they find someone off the scrap heap.
Ok? Not even sure what this is supposed to mean. Just watch any of the highlights, pressure comes and Maye stays calm and steps up or to the side and gets the ball out. Caleb's first instinct is to run backwards or in circles in the pocket and I feel that hurts him when trying to keep his eyes downfield.Maye isn't making that throw to Odunze on third and long. Maye may stay calm, but he also throws a lot more interceptions. They have each started 39 games in their careers. Maye has thrown 29 ints. Caleb has thrown 19. That is a significant difference.Ok? I just saw that film. Everyone was focused on Johnson I don't know what Muhammad was doing but I'll give him a rookie mistake pass. Why Lewis just didn't attempt to dive and trip him up is beyond me too he just kinda followed him....Can someone explain what Muhammad was doing on that last second, end of 1st half touchdown?
Agreed. I think I appreciated him more after watching the backups play recent games. He has ridiculous talent. It’s just a lot of fun watching a guy that talented play. It’s unprecedented for Bear fans to have a QB like that.I'll be positive. How great is it to watch the Bears and know our QB always has a chance to make an amazing throw? Multiple 3rd down throws were laughably good. There was a throw on the final drive that was like it was shot out of a friggin cannon. We need to enjoy this for as long as we can.
