and then play our arses off against UofL. That will calm all the savage beasts out in message board land. Get the Bowl bid, make travel plans, and for the Cats, get those 15 extra practices.
If we do finish 6-6, we can win our bowl game, and have a winning season with many of our key players back for 2017........ see, a happy ending !!!

Not likely.....For the 1st time in "40years" they had their shot at respect in the conference and blew it! Lost to a horrible UGA and UT.....WOW! Could care less if they beat UL or not! Still doesn't gain them any respect in the SEC!

What's really sad is that we are completely dependent on the East being down and a favorable out of conference schedule to get to a bowl. Couldn't capitalize on winning the East although it's severely down. What if the East wasn't down, what if it was normal? How would we feel about additional losses and lack of overall player development then? I simply don't understand why we have such low expectations for the coaching staff and team.

All I hear is how favorable the remaining schedule is because XYZ team is down this year and we have a lame duck team is AP. Hell I don't want to win because others suck, I want to win because we are a good team that's prepared to beat those we are supposed to, play competitively against superior competition, and pull off the occasional upset.

About 80 out of 129 teams make it to a bowl game each year, which is good odds within itself. We've been on the outside looking in each year due to poor game management, player development, and poor coaching. We won't be any better next year, wait and see.

Not correct. UK goes bowl eligible against a D1AA team and will likely get slaughtered against UL. UK will also get sent to Shreveport, Texas, Birmingham or New Mexico for their bowl. It won't be well attended.

UL is likely on a path for the playoffs, and UK is getting crushed by UT. UL's success is what's driving the fans nuts and putting pressure on Stoops from the fan base. Mostly because UK had the opportunity to hire Petrino and wouldn't even look at him. The other part is it's our biggest rival

At the beginning of the season I would of told you 6-6 is an improvement but with the SEC East so down this year, I can't say it is really. If I'm AD I give Stoops one more but I if I could pull the trigger on Stoops being let go, I do it at the end of the season. But with the buyout and the circumstances with the QB situation, I say he gets 1 more year.

Well,let's see South Carolina beats UT,Miss St beats A&M,Vandy beats UGA and UGA(who beat us as time expired) beats Auburn.We may not be as bad as you let on.Are we good,oh hell no but we aren't as bad as the agenda driven posters want us to be.We will make it to a bowl game in a season when we started 0-2 but by all means lets fire Stoops,kick Stephen Johnson(Smith) off the team,send Gran and Hinshaw packing and start from scratch next year.Who knows, maybe Petrino will ride his motorcycle over to Lexington,bring a hot co-ed( he might even borrow a couple of hookers from Rick to help with recruiting) and win 10 games for us

WooHoo boys, we're goin to the ghetto bowl in Birmingham! Pack up yer pepper spray and concealed weapons! As I said before for the 1st time in "40years" they had their shot at respect in the conference and blew it! Lost to a horrible UGA and UT.....WOW! Could care less if they beat UL or not! Still doesn't gain them any respect in the SEC!

No it wont. Some on this board are like vultures circling around waiting for a loss. I think they like the honeymoon period with a coach. I have a friend in real life like that, has been married 7 times. Anyway, look at Tuck66, he admits if they beat UL, who is in contention for playoffs it is not good enough, wow. That would be 7-5 and beating a playoff contender and not good enough. No the beasts will lay low while we celebrate bowl eligible next week, then yell like crazy after UL game.

Yeah, I just don't get it. If we beat a team, it's because they are terrible. If we lose, we lost to a terrible team.

UT and UGA are average, not great but are capable of bearing a lot of teams.

Have been to every game this season, but am not going to go to bowl game now.

Sure it is,it gives us a short term boost in recruiting,extends the season and we get some positive coverage in the media. There have been plenty of disappointments in this season but to end with a bowl game and maybe a win to boot is big for us.

I think you're going to find that after the trouncing by UofL that is coming and the way the season ended people aren't going to be too enthused about going to the toilet bowl. A lot of people are fed up watching U.K. football flounder (rightly or wrongly it falls on Stoops) while a program like UofL with the fraction of fan support and resources potentially has a Heisman winning QB and an appearance in the CFB.

I don't think i've ever seen a more obvious UL troll than tuck. Maybe RuppsRevenge, but that's stretching it.

UT will be in Atlanta, UGA beat # 9 Auburn, holding them to 164 total yards. Not exactly Morehead State and Thomas Moore College.

Worst part about the whole deal, they outplayed Georgia, but the same Ole mistakes, fumbles, etc, cost them the game. Sad.

I'm honestly not real upset over our failing to beat Tennessee, because I didn't expect to go down there and beat them to begin with. With that being said, the only reason we are looking at bowl eligibility this year is because Barney & Stoops were smart enough to schedule a patsy with 0 wins & 10 losses this year. If we were to schedule a decent team to play next week, we may have been looking at a 5 win season once again. I'm just not convinced Stoops will ever be anything other than a really good Defensive coordinator.

With all that being said, I think the Louisville game might be a lot closer than some of you think. I think a lot of their Acc wins are fools gold, and they really haven't played any teams (other than Clemson) that will be as physical and hit as hard as we will. But in the end, Lamar Jackson will single handedly beat us, because he's just a athletic freak show of a player. He makes Louisville look a lot better than they are as a whole.
