Weather is nice. 35 and dry. Here 3 mins before the game. More folks here than PSU. Rap is being blasted. Pretty sparse crowd. Not much car traffic. No pep band. No students.

The AD at my “other” school UC San Diego sits courtside at events and is very approachable (this was pre-surge, fans have not been allowed at games for now because of omicron). I do like his approach of being visible and available to talk to fans, not just to big donors. He does a lot of public outreach to the community as well. Good guy. The assistant AD’s responsible for their particular teams are expected to attend home games so I always see them sitting with fans too.

Dr. Gragg sighting tonight! He presented a game ball to some corporate sponsor during one of the timeouts. And then he probably left the building. Good move, as it turned out.

I saw him at the start of the game presenting one of those ceremonial sponsor Basketball’s. Didn’t notice if he stayed or not. The white shirt and same tie couldn’t be missed with JP. I guess the new AD drives home instead of walks like the previous AD.
