I never tire of seeing that awesome photo. Everybody posing for the shot and they even went to the trouble of having four people in the grandstand.

Maybe she tells people it's her plan. IIRC, her plan had Beaver Stadium renovation way at the bottom of the priorities list. And she had a strange fixation on building some sort of 10,000 seat aquatics Taj Mahal. I love Pat Kraft.

Soon after Kraft came on board, he commented, and not in a flattering way, about there being something like 19 drafts of the FACILITY. MASTER. PLAN. o_O from his predecessor. All paper and no action.

Why no pics/views of the bleachers in the corners of the East side where our seats are? Trying to imagine where they will be situated.

I don't know that those have been constructed yet. At least they don't seem to be visible from the outside as you drive up/down Porter Road. But... in both those same east side corners where they installed the escalators-from-hell, they are currently completing stairwells. Why? Who knows. But I can guarantee you that given their location, you'll be able to walk down those stairs and exit more quickly than going down those gawdforsaken 360-degree escalators.

Escalators are a blessing for me who needs two new knees, one coming early November.

Hey, I get it. Yeah, I'm totally for escalators. It's just that Populous absolutely sucks (but hey, it's who ya know, not what ya know, amirite?!;)). OTIS has made escalators that go in one direction in just about any height you want for over 50 years (to wit: the old Meadowlands). Yet, Populous hasn't figured that out. You have to take two escalators and go in a complete circle to get where any other architecture firm would get you on one escalator in a straight line. So, imagine how much quicker and painless your trip would be with those new knees! But, as Penn State fans we know we don't deserve nice things, so we'll be happy with any old garbage bones they throw our way.

Yes, it’s quite a ***** to take 2 steps to get from one escalator to another.

Yeah, it's not two steps. It's ten yards. And it's 360-degrees. Again, any half-decent architecture firm specs one escalator. And again, I get it, you're a Penn State fan so you don't believe you deserve anything good and are just happy when they throw you scraps. I mean, it's bad enough Populous pulled that sh*t 25 years ago when they designed the south endzone. They learned nothing. Populous sucks, screwed you in the process, and you're fine with it. I'm continually amazed at what crap PSU fans will put up with.

Wait, what? 360 degrees? They make you turn all the way around?

FYI: Sandy has a new interim gig.

LOGAN, Utah —
Interim President Al Smith announced Friday the appointment of Sandy Barbour, former vice president for intercollegiate athletics at Penn State, as interim athletic director at Utah State University. Barbour is one of the nation’s most respected college athletics directors, with over 40 years of experience as a coach and administrator. She has held leadership roles at Cal, Notre Dame, Tulane, Northwestern and Penn State.

Yeah, because every situation is simple black and white.

Yeah...I'm sorry guys but this doesn't look safe, or well built. This looks like amateur work and this isn't good in any way. I honestly think there's a good chance we move these home games to the Link in Philadelphia or M and T in Baltimore.

This is a joke. Those are high school bleachers on top of a slab of cement.

She also couldn’t raise a $1 to save her a$$. I think she did some good, but fund raising and implemention of a plan were way out of her wheel house.

Well, I suppose it's a step up? 😂
Really I am not sure 😂....
We went from a complete idiot who couldn't do her damn job, to....a carnie designed bleacher erector set that looks like a stiff wind is going to send 30 thousand people into a full blown free fall...I don't know 😂

You have to love absurd comments by uninformed posters.
