...who was your favorite NBA team?

The only team I ever liked more than a couple years was the 80s Celtics. Never liked the Lakers. Liked the Bulls when they were trying to get over the hump but then got sick of them. Never cared for Golden State.

I kind of liked these Mavericks until Doncic showed his true colors this series. Ever since half the teams in the league had at least one UK player I just started pulling for those players. I hope Reed and Rob go to good teams.

I kinda take exception with your title. UK never took over the league. Cal did, we at UK hated the concept. These are all one and dones that never really embraced UK.

I was a huge Lakers fan in the Shaq and Kobe days and continued to be a fan until Kobe retired or a little after. Then once Lebron went there what Lakers support I had left was gone. Now I never watch the NBA. But I really enjoyed it from about 96-2016 range.

I loved watching Kemp play for the Supersonics but then they got cheated and that was it for me watching the fraud the NBA has become.

Wrong…..plenty of us loved seeing our guys get drafted and there are plenty of those guys who are all about UK.

Yeah. Extremely unfair to paint such a broad stroke for players just because they played here one season. We have a title and 4 final fours due to those players coming through.

We have had a ton of beloved players stay 4 years that didn't win a damn thing as far as making a final four or winning a title. It's always been accepted on here losing for 4 years is something to be proud of though.

Favorite player ever is Larry Bird. But the first NBA team I ever laid eyes on was the Lakers. And my Mom dated a dude originally from LA who got me into the raiders and lakers.

NBA is total *** today though. So I don’t really watch it anymore.

The most badass Larry highlight is when he’s driving the ball, on some european in the olympics. And as he’s doing it he’s laughing and lays it in.
Schooling dudes with a bad back. I like the Willis Reed he pulled returning from a broken orbital bone and shutting up the Pacers. Larry Bird played hurt. He's not a pansy like these load management turds we have today.

I remember he told some dude he was bored. And that he might go for 40 with his left hand tonight. He did.

Would have love to have seen a healthy bird against MJ in the 90s. He would have less titles.

Uh yeah, stop talking about dumb **** like playing for the name on the front instead of the name on the back and being about UK since it’s entertainment. I know you didn’t say it but the dude you’re white knighting did.
Scotty really doesn't know. Appropriate handle there bub.

Weirdos don’t support UK players in the NBA. LOL at dudes who trash UK everything talking about embracing UK.

The players are done to you guys when they can no longer entertain you. Spare me the BS about embracing UK.
Bye whiney troll!

I was a Bulls fan growing up solely because of Jordan. I don't follow the NBA at all really anymore. If nothing else is on I may watch a game briefly. Don't really follow any of the Cats but do think it is really cool that Fox and Monk are a duo. '17 was one of my favorite teams at UK...would be cool to see them win a title.

80s Lakers then the Supersonics. The Bad Boy Pistons entertained me, especially when they were bouncing Jordan around like a pinball.

I liked the Laker teams of the past.
I don't believe I've watched a game since 2020.
Too much nonsense since then.

When niked started making the uniforms crazy. And having teams wear road uniforms at home. And when they started plastering ads all over the uniforms and courts. I tuned it out.

If I ever came back to the NBA i'd probably root for Boston. I can't stomach LA anymore. Mostly due to Lebron and how they want to just rely on the weather, to build a team of FA's. Rather than actually build. And plus Boston's UK connections run deep. Cool logo too.

I have or was a Laker fan going all the way back to the 60's.
There will never be another rivalry to equal the Celtics and Lakers.

The Lakers have won the title every year after the Celtics going back to like 1980. Pretty cool.

Haven't really been an NBA fan since Reggie's Pacers. Damn, that was some fun. For years now, all I've done is keep an open eye for Kentucky guys and check in on the Pacers. But actually watched a bit this year. I think they got something brewing in the Circle City.

80's Celtics (Bird) replaced the 70's Sixers (Dr. J) who replaced the Colonels (Issel, Gilmore, Dampier) as the only pro teams I ever cared for

I always like the Cincinnati Royals when they had Oscar. After they left, I watched the Celtics when they Havlachek and Bill Russell. I liked the celtics ever since. The dave Cowens years, Bird years. Amazing teams. Now the current version is pretty good.
I will watch the Finals but much prefer college ball. More fun and the kids play their guys out.
