It's indicative as to why a story like this Covington story gets overblown. They are so desperate for a win, the truth and facts be damned.

Yep, The Store. Had forgotten about that place at the top of the hill. Amazing it's been open for so many years.
The Store is in Beckwith which is 2 miles up from the river but nowhere near the top of the hill. Balls Gro is on top of the hill of course. It's hard to keep up with all the development around here : /

Do you know Bruce Cassis? He was a dental classmate of mine.

It's on the top of the hill from greater downtown Beckwith. That's what I meant. Lots more hills to climb, prior to getting into the burbs of Fayetteville.

I know Bruce well. He married into the Rahall family (Eva). I went to school with Eva's brother, Mike, who now runs Ben Franklin in town, and Bruce was my dentist in Fayetteville until I moved away in '84.

Caught my attention. My ex's family is from Fayetteville. My son will probably be moving back there from North Carolina.

BTW - You need to check out the Mountain Music Fest this year. Tyler Childers, Arlo McKinley, Justin Wells. Good stuff.

http://mountainmusicfestwv.com/lineup/
I haven't been to that and I'm surprised at the popularity that that event has seemed to gain. Prices keep going up and you can't go for just a day, also it's one way in/one way out which is easy pickins' for john law and his DUI so you about have to camp or leave sober. Their lineup keeps growing so I guess it's going to be a thing. Someone buy me a 4 day glamping ticket and I'm there.

WTH? This isn't the Fayetteville I remember.
He's being racist towards the river rat crowd. Most of Fayetteville people are still the same as ever, pot smoking, meth heads, with a drinking problem. He's probably talking about 20% of the population, and the thousands of dirty tourists that frequent the town during the rafting season. I'm not sure what the hell he has against metal free deordorant. I hope Old Spice burns his damn armpits. As for your father-in-law, if his last name begins with an H, then I know who you're talking about. A buddy of mine (older than me) used to run the pro shop out there, Nick D'Angelo, but he's been pretty sick last couple years.

You are dead on. And I think Nick used to be there when I played my few times. Funny guy if that's the one.

That's him. All those D'angelos were good ball players, mainly baseball and then softball once they got out of school. The Italian Mafia out of Glen Jean, WV.
