Week 1 in the NIC 10 showed us that even though the RPS schools (Not Auburn) say they have improved its going to take a lot more then what they have right now to improve to beat the top teams in the conference. The Bucs of Belvidere have low numbers but they still will compete even though the final score didn't show it. Boylan still has some work to do. They really started slow against the Bucs. Hononegahs spread offense could still keep hononegah successful. Freeport offense couldn't do anything. Harlems offense had some trouble getting going plus their star running back got hurt during the game but he did come back. This year is going to be Auburn and Belvidere North for 1 and 2 my first standings were completely wrong with having Auburn 6-3 and North 7-2.

Last Weeks Scores
Boylan 36 Belvidere 12 (10:50 in the 4th was 16-12 then a 99 yard screen touchdown pass and the flood gates opened)

Belvidere North 49 Jefferson 28 (Guessing the 28 points were scored on backups)

Hononegah 26 Freeport 0 (Hononegahs defense is tough)

Harlem 38 Guilford 14 (Shaw still ran all over Guilford even after getting hurt)

Auburn 48 East 8 (Auburn is a legit team)
Last Week I went 5-0 in predictions

Updated Standings Predictions (Losses)
1. Auburn 9-0
2. Belvidere North 8-1 (Auburn)
3. Harlem 6-3 (North, Auburn, Hononegah)
4. Hononegah 6-3 (North, Auburn, Boylan)
5. Boylan 6-3 (North, Auburn, Harlem)
6. Belvidere 4-5 (North, Harlem, Hononegah, Boylan, Auburn)
7. Guilford 3-6 (North, Harlem, Hononegah, Boylan, Auburn, Belvidere)
8. Freeport 2-7 (North, Harlem, Hononegah, Boylan, Auburn, Guilford, Belvidere)
9. Jefferson 1-8 (North, Harlem, Hononegah, Boylan, Auburn, Guilford, Freeport, Belvidere)
10. East 0-9 (North, Harlem, Hononegah, Boylan, Auburn, Guilford, Freeport, Belvidere, Jefferson)

Week 2 Predicions
North 35 Belvidere 28
Harlem 28 Freeport 13
Auburn 21 Boylan 17
Hononegah 49 East 0
Guilford 35 Jefferson 16

10. East 0-9 (North, Harlem, Hononegah, Boylan, Auburn, Guilford, Freeport, Belvidere, Jefferson)

Week 2 Predicions
North 35 Belvidere 28
Harlem 28 Freeport 13
Auburn 21 Boylan 17
Hononegah 49 East 0
Guilford 35 Jefferson 16

Until East and Jefferson show any signs of life, its all just hype by the RPS and the coaches. Guilford not putting up much of a fight in week 1 was surprising.

Let's not jump to to many conclusions after 1 game, still don't have a true gauge for teams until weeks 3-4 and the top teams start to play each other.

North was up 42-8 in the 3rd I believe and then subbed, and Auburn was up 41-0 in the 2nd and subbed. Hononegah is going to take a few weeks to get used to the new offense, give them some time.

Week 2 Predictions

North 42 Belvidere 21
-North pulls away in the 3rd quarter. Bucs lack of depth really starts to show as they get worn down in the 2nd half. North's pretty strong up front on offense, could be a long day for the Bucs D. Big crowd, games at North.

Harlem 35 Freeport 14
-Harlem keeps the O going.

Auburn 35 Boylan 14
-Don't see Boylan staying close in this one. Auburn looked pretty good on film week one, however we will see how they react playing a more quality opponent.

Hononegah 42 East 7
-Hono should pull way early.

Guilford 42 Jefferson 28
-Should be some points up by both teams.

Auburn is head and shoulders above the rest of the conference. Boylan, Hono, Harlem, and North will be scrapping for 2nd place. I have Auburn 42-7 over Boylan. I am encouraged that Boylan is moving C. Henderson around and keeping their 3 best playmakers on the field. Also, the fact that Revolinski didn't pound it down their throats this year was a good sign. Still, Auburn has too much firepower and speed on both sides of the ball, not to mention the size and experience on the O-line. I hope that I'm wrong and that Boylan can hang with them but I don't see that happening.

I watched the replay of the game Bucs/Boylan on wifr. Bucs had some bad breaks in the first half. They kind of dominated everything but the score in the first half. Like it was said before though, they will wear down in the second half of games due to the low numbers.

Agree with what you're saying. Will find out a lot of auburn the next two weeks. If they thump boylan and north, I think they could have a special team. If not, not sure.

Best thing for that program was probably getting beat badly at home vs glenbard
west last year.
