He's not Hilary. Probably lots of Independents that voted for Trump did so because the alternative of voting for Hilary was unpalatable.
But the thing is, the Independents he gains might be offset by the Dem that voted for Hilary that stay home or vote 3rd party if Bloomberg is the nominee.

I think Trump would crush Bernie in a national election as would any other Republican. Even up to now Bernie has never in his life had to try to appeal to about the rightmost 75% of the political spectrum.

For who? In a Trump vs Bernie race I think most of the middle and even some on the middle-left would vote for Trump. Bernie's appeal is not nearly broad enough to win a national election IMO. I know he's been the romantic candidate up to now but that's because he's not the nominee. If he won the nomination things could change big time.
The Right likes Bernie now because he can be used to show how the Dems manipulate the system against Bernie (because the Dems don't want Bernie because they know he'll lose), but if Bernie was the nominee he'd suddenly be a target in the national media.

I think the right likes Bernie because they think Trump will crush him. I think there are more people in crazy Bernie's corner who are going to be quiet about it like those not admitting they support Trump. Part of the shame each candidate is perceived to bring by publicly projecting support.

I believe in a Medicare type plan for ALL with a private plans option..... and we all believe in many things we all now enjoy that many consider socialist.
However......don't confuse what Bernie and AOC want with that.
Bernie's $34 trillion added to our country's budget, is not doable. Our current budget is about $4.8 trillion a year and Bernie wants to almost double it. We can't afford it. Where will that money come from? We all will be taxed into oblivion. It will destroy the middle class. With Trump, I'm taxed less and making more money. What are your thoughts?
