Not really a replacement, but Cousin Oliver on Brady Bunch has always fascinated me. Youngest kids hit puberty...so they bring in an annoying cousin to make sure they cover the age demo. Puke.

He now identifies as a bearded woman

Ashton Kutcher replacing Charlie Sheen on 2 and a Half Men...I know that show is hated here but it was pretty funny with Charlie Sheen

Thank you so much for the support. Charlie haha, that guy. What a spaz.

In my mind's eye, I can still see us on a yacht off the coast of Fiji about seven years ago drinking champagne and snorting yay off the tits of the finest, most elite *** the islands had to offer. We had a line of them at the dock just begging to make the cut, quite a spectacle to say the least.

By that time I knew he had the AIDS, so I made sure we weren't sharing anything. Most of the whores didn't care eith....oh wait they probably didn't know did they? lulz.

At the end of the afternoon, we had nearly run out of blow and liquor so we headed back to the shore. I'll never forget when he turned to me and said sadly, "Chuck, I can't do this anymore. These parties, these trips...they're killing me. I'm railing broads with my AIDS and I'm not telling them. What kind of a person am I?"

I stared off into the beautiful approaching sunset. I felt the ocean breeze graze against my beard. The essence of the tropics surging through my entire being. I was one with the islands.

I looked at him, put my hand on his shoulder, and I answered him....."You're a ***** kind of person. Get the f*** off my boat."

He started to cry and got off the yacht. I've only laughed harder once in my life. That was the time I slapped Thomas Gibson with an enormous purple ***** on the set of Darma and Greg. If not for the restraining order, I'd have my ridiculously hot assistant call me a Maybach and head over to his house to piss in his mailbox.

Anywho, much love to TCurtis and my supporters on this board. I keep coming back to the Paddock for love like this. #GuhBless

That was a young John Denver, no Oliver.

For the real old timers: Ernie was an upgrade over Mike on My Three Sons, even if he wasn't actually the third son. Much goofier. Made even lame kids feel good about themselves by comparison. Uncle Charley swapping in for Grandpa Bub was a wash for me, both crotchety old gorillas who looked like they smelled of tobacco, gin and farts.

Worst: Goober for Gomer. A moron's 'Jughead' cap does not a comic relief character make.

Another Andy Griffith one. The second Floyd the Barber was much better than the original Floyd.

I agree w/ UCL that Coy and Vance sucked d***.

While I enjoyed Frank Burns in M*A*S*H, I think Charles Emerson Winchester III was an upgrade for the show.

What are some of the best and worst switches in sitcoms, movies, game shows etc. through the years?

I've been on a M*A*S*H kick since earlier this summer. I had not watched the show probably in 20+ years. DVR'd them off WGN and watched from the start. Agree with you on Winchester. Burns just pissed me off.

Another Andy Griffith one. The second Floyd the Barber was much better than the original Floyd.

I'm not aware of a "second Floyd the Barber."

The characters of Floyd Lawson (played by Howard McNear) and Barney Fife were unique. I can't imagine anyone else in those respective roles.

...like George Costanza.

Just about every single thing Floyd said was funny. Not just the script, but those speech inflections and mannerisms.

Worst: Suzanne Summers replaced by Jenilee Harrison on Three's Company. They canned her after one season. Jenilee had a great figure but wasn't funny. Execs thought any hot blonde would work.

Best: Replacing Shelley Long on Cheers. Annoying average chick replaced by a hot one who was still funny.
