I thought Stapelton’s anthem last night was really special (bad ***, as my son reported). I still think Marvin Gaye is about the best ever. Remind me, what other big stage national anthems are worthy of sincere praise?

Enrico Pallazzo's rendition always chokes me up.
Stapleton's was simplistic and classy, which I expected. He could've stretched it out with his insane vocal range but chose not to.
Whitney might have lip-synced, but even then it was flawless. She could have done it live easily at that point in her life. She was perfection.

You'd also be hard up to find one much better than Everett McCorvey from UK does. Kills it every time and he lets the crowd take over which is phenomenal since everyone is actually singing along. Can't do that with a lot of performers.

Agree on vocal rendition, Jimi Hendrix best on instrumental and it isn't close
