With fall football season just around the corner, I’ve been thinking about what the most practical bag is for heading to the tailgate and the stadium. I want something that keeps my phone, wallet, and maybe a portable charger safe—yet still lets me carry snacks, a water bottle, and maybe a light jacket.

Do you prefer:
  • A compact crossbody or sling?
  • A sturdy backpack with organized compartments?
  • Or something like a tote or cooler-style bag for quick grab-and-go?

Also:
  • Does anyone have a go-to bag that fits the college gameday aesthetic (and can handle the tailgate traffic)?
  • Bonus if it's weather-resistant or easy to clean!

Would love to hear what you all use—especially if it’s a bag that’s held up through multiple seasons at the stadium

Don’t have a whole lot to offer here… except to say that a few years ago my wife and I were unaware of the clear bag requirement. Missed the first 20 minutes of the football game while we trekked back to the car, dropped off the bag we were trying to bring in, and then stopped off at the Kroger across from the baseball stadium, where we bought a clear bag with a UofL logo on it. It’s held up pretty well for us, and my wife still uses it for multiple purposes, including when she packs a lunch for work.

I'm particularly partial to placing my parcels in pockets, pouches and pillow cases, as needed per the place I park.

As PushupMan said, it has to be a clear bag. If its not a clear bag it has to be about the size of a sandwich..
