Best case scenario

I have been down and negative about this team and coach as much as anyone. After last night‘s game, I told myself I’m just going to enjoy watching Kentucky basketball. I’m not gonna worry about the coach or the players or any of that stuff.

With 15 games left in SEC play and SEC tournament. What’s the best case scenario for this team? I would say if we go 10/5 the rest of the way in SEC play. Maybe win one or two games in the SEC tournament. That would put us around 21 or 22 wins. If we continue to get the team that played against Mississippi State. I think that’s very achievable. That probably puts us somewhere near a 6 to 9 seed in the tournament. With how this season has gone so far, I personally would take that. Who knows we go to the tournament playing our best ball of the year. Maybe we make a run, crazier things have happened.

Based on the remaining schedule, I’d say 9-6
1 win in the SEC
1 win in the NCAA, 2nd round exit

so 12 losses total, same as last season

8-7 (I hope) regular season
1-1 SECT
10 seed and a round of 32 loss

It is what it is this year

I really don't know. If last night was the game that made it click I could see them going 12-3 or 11-4 down the stretch especially if Jelavic helps the spacing and JJ gets more run as he gets more comfortable. I think there is a chance this team could be better without Lowe. He did some stupid things down the stretch against Louisville and Missouri. Yeah he helped us tremendously against Indiana and St Johns so it's a give and take. I think we get the Jekyll and Hyde team though and finish 9-6 or 8-7 win a game in the SEC tournament and first or second round loss in the NCAA tournament. That's 20-15 or 21-14. Honestly I would take those at this point considering where we were a few days ago.

Lol, some of you all have way too much faith. We beat one of the worst teams in the conference on our court because we were able to play a good half of basketball after playing a pretty ****** first half.

We have done the same thing like 5 times this season and still didn't improve long-term. It isn't happening after this win either. Particularly not after the one player who can consistently move and distribute the ball is out again and who knows if our one actually good defender might even play here again.

This post wasn’t about having faith. It literally “said best case scenario”. Obviously it’s going to be an uphill battle. I think most people here know it’s going to take more than one good performance to change the narrative. Instead of constantly looking at the negative in a situation. Try to find the positive that could come from the situation. Like the Army taught me. Plan for success and prepare for failure.

The team that played last night is a good one. We have had other “turnarounds” this year that didn’t pan out. Hoping this one sticks.

Best case is we pull the recent UNCheat or UCLA runs. They both made ff runs UCLa as a play in and UNC from like an 11 seed. I don’t think we have a good player like bacot to rely on but something like that may be .1% chance of making it there.

We beat a team with 85 NET yesterday at home. MSU is like one of those pre conference games plus Hubbard. They are bad.

We are roughly an 8 seed atm so not the same as the UNC/UCLA situations.

MSU is very bad don’t get ahead of yourself. We are what we are we also beat at johns and IU.
How is saying we have had other “turnarounds” that didn’t stick and “I hope this one sticks” getting ahead? I’m acknowledging this team has been up and down.
