G. Auremma is the only coach > K. G. recruits about the same as K but has a lot more banners in the rafters. G. is (on his way to) surpassing all of J. Wooden records (@ UCLA). We are witnessing history in the making. If G. coaches another decade then he will set records that will last for decades to come.

Not taking anything away from his accomplishments. They are impressive, no doubt. But if he were to coach Men's basketball, do you think he would have the accolades that Krzyzewski has achieved? Do you think he would out-recruit him or Calipari?

People really try hard to say what Geno does is what Wooden did but it really isn't close. Any person with two eyes and not trying to be politically correct can tell the men's game is different and frankly harder ( for coaching). The disparity is far greater and there are far more good players in men's so more teams can get good players.

Oh and don't you get two home games as a high seed in the women's game in the NCAAT? Boy I wonder if that helps?

There's no telling how he'd do in the men's game but for a guy with such a big mouth, why doesn't he try it?

Don't buy the Geno argument at all. Very impressive with what he's done but the parity and level of competition in the men's game far and away exceeds that in the women's. Let's see what he can do in the men's game or NBA.

When you say coaching, you must put into the equation what has been done with subpar talent! Taking nothing away from Scheyer, Nolan and Kyle, but K showed the world something special in 2010.

Only Izzo can be in that convo.

Let's call dumb things dumb, because it's "politically correct" not to call women the b-word, too, and I would think we're all on board with that.

Geno is a great coach but I lost respect for him when it was revealed he instigates smack talk with other coaches like Summitt & ND coach. Geno admit to to it in the Summitt 30 for 30. Men should not interact with women like that. Would like to see him try that with K, Izzo or Self.

In pats book she talks about it and says she's forgiven him and doesn't like to talk about it but from my understanding it was terrible

Women's basketball is a totally different and inferior game to men's basketball. A decent mens high school team would beat UConn's womens teams every time. Just too big, too fast, too skilled. So let us end this way dumb thread. Please.

I remember years back when Geno was a hot name to come over to the mens side of things. And it was rumored that he would only go to a "Blue Blood" program.
Any chance Duke looks at him when K is done??? I would say no. No way a 17 year old 5-star recruit cares that Geno coached Brianna Stewart and won a million games in a row.
