1987 had Bob Knight, Jim Boeheim, Rick Pitino and Jerry Tarkanian. Was that the best Final Foursome in tourney history?
Digger should never show up on any best coaching list.2012 had Cal, Pitino, Self and Matta.
'78 had Hall, Digger, Sutton and Foster
'75 had Wooten, Hall, Crum and Danforth
'86 had Crum, K, Brown and Brown
Those just off the top of my head. I'm sure there's many more impressive. Any FF with Rupp in it is going to be top 10.
My older brother traveled to multiple final fours; he always felt UConn fans were the absolute worst he ever saw; Syracuse was number twoTheir fans are worse. We ran into them about 12 years ago traveling with the team. Compliance had to keep them away from the team and actually implemented rules in the future because of the experience.
Digger did a pretty good job at ND. Who else has taken them to a FF? Ended UCLA’s win streak too.Digger should never show up on any best coaching list.
I don't doubt it for a second. Northeastern douchebags always with the mouth. No substance, not gonna do sht but run it and act like a jackass all day.My older brother traveled to multiple final fours; he always felt UConn fans were the absolute worst he ever saw; Syracuse was number two
Hard to defend Digger but he did take ND to their only FF in their history. And they haven't been since. While looking to see if that was their only FF I saw that Digger took Fordham to the sweet sixteen in 1970 or so. That seems like a good thing too. I was at the '78 FF. It didn't seem like ND put up much of a fight against dUKe. We had a very tough game against Arkansas. What did he do overall with the talent he had arguably as good if not better than anyone.Had like four NBA players on team and did nothing in NCAA tournament. With the talent each coach had I don't know who choked the most him or Dean Smith.
