If you've ever needed a reason to stop eating fast food - the fast food fish sandwich should be it. The only one ive had that was even palatable was from Hardees. And most, if not all, are even more unhealthy than fast food burgers.

Burger King Big Fish isn't horrible and neither is the Wendy's Cod sandwich...I don't have an issue with the fish sandwiches at the places as much as the tartar sauce...If the tartar sauce sucks, then the sandwich is out for me.

I don't think you'll find too many people talking up a fast food fish sandwich.

Back in the day, I'd go to Captain D's for theirs. I'm sure it wasn't healthy but it was pretty good.

The majority of your "fish"...arent fish. And if it is, its Tilapia, a farm raised fish that is put in with catfish that feed on the poop of the other fish.

Louis, I agree. Tilapia is some nasty crap and it's pretty tasteless on its own as well.

I'm not a no GMO or organic food person but I refuse to knowingly eat farm raised fish.

It was great. Looking back, it was probably real fish; which is why it was so good compared to today's fast food garbage.

Haven't had the Arby's fish sandwich yet this year, but if it's anything like years past it's pretty good. I am not sure there is any fast food worth a crap these days though, so it's all relative.

Willy I raise my own. LOL.

Of course I do but there is a difference in my mind. Plus I've never seen Kroger have wild slaughtered beef as an option. 😎

This was the first and only thing that popped into my head when I saw the question.

Would Charlies's Seafood Market on Winchester Rd be considered a "fast food sandwich"? If so, then end of thread.

There's a Druthers in Campbellsville; I go down that way twice a month on business, I'll check it out next week and try the fish sandwich.

Moby Dick is the best. And I've never understood why almost every fish place has those fat, soggy, limp, greasy fries. Long Johns, Captain D's, Moby Dick all have similar crap fries.

For or those who mentioned King Fish, they aren't fast food. If a waitress takes your order at a table, it isn't fast food. Unless it's a Mexican restaurant, those dudes get your food out quicker than most taco bells.

Still good. And with those onion rings that are clearly just out of a bag but fried so hot that they're still perfect, nice combo. Usually grab the double burgers meal there if not for breakfast, but the fish sandwich craving hits every so often.

That's why they were so good. Fast food fish sandwiches are now basically yoga mat material, dipped in chemical batter, then deep fried.

If you are in Louisville and head across the river to Clarksville, IN there is a place called Clarksville seafood that does not look like much, but they fly their cod in from the northeast everyday and there fried fish platter and sandwich are amazing.

Frisch's makes a pretty good fish sandwich for a fast food restaurant. They also got the best tartar sauce so that sorta helps the sandwich a lot.
