Still drink a lot, but have learned the hard way when to stop, almost never get a hangover anymore.

I've definitely been learning to slow down and accept that fact that I 1. can't drink like I used to and 2. don't have the time to be lazy oaf the night of drinking and most of the next day.

Go out for Happy hour, be done by nightfall. Same thing with weekends. BBQ/relax/ yardwork in the afternoon or evening with a few and call it quits no later than midnight (if I can even stay up past then). Nothing good happens after 2:00am.. and I'd even extend that to midnight.

^ That rule becomes more true the older you get. In college and a bit after, good stuff still happened after 2:00 AM. In your 30's and 40's not so much.

Oh for sure in those days. But now that I'm 30 and re-assessing my life choices.. there's just no need to stay up that late. I'll get into trouble and the next day is just a wash.

Depends on the level. Best hangover cure is prevention. Eat something before bed, crush some water or coconut water, maybe a couple motrin and get in bed early enough to get 8+ hours of normal sleep. If you drink too much to remember to do this... good luck. My advice is to go grab a large McD's Coke with a couple Egg McMuffins and then drink a bunch of water and if you're up for it try to get a workout in. If not buckle up at my age those typically get worse Monday and carry on into Tuesday.

Gotta pretreat. Lots of water and aspirin. I also drink an antihangover drink called hoist. Works for me. As strange as it may sound a bunch of my heavy drinking buddies take Midol. Been taking it forever. They swear by it lol

If you really binge, it doesn't really matter what you do before or after. You're just gonna have to deal with it for 12-36 hours, or you can just get wasted again, but that'll just increase the inevitable recovery time.

If you don't have anything to do, hibernate. Take some dramamine or sleep meds and have some munchies on hand (it makes me hungry). Also, be sure and drink plenty of water because this will further dehydrate you.

^false, go to sit down at breakfast, eat like a slob, pour water on your food, leave without talking to anyone then lay on your couch playing with yourself and being a smelly glutton for the next 36 hours.

Same here I love to have some beers at happy hour, but I'm always home early.

I've been drinking for 30 years, and have a high tolerance, but I don't like to get drunk any longer, buzzed, but not drunk.

I think ya'll are really underestimating crack cocaine.

Easily the best cure and it's not even close.

A couple lines and a few bowls of bong rips have always solved my problems. Won't lie I've woken up **** faced before finals popped a 15 mg addy and felt fine within 30 min (I've never got below a C on a final with this approach ). Amphetimines are very nice hangover supplement

Hangovers come from dehydration. Take aspirin, chug a 32 oz gatorade and a glass of water before you pass out and you'll never wake up with a hangover

Food is the best thing. I used to eat a slice of chicago calzone after I left two keys hammered and that always helped.
Water while drunk does not help. Your liver can't process the water into liquids. But food
Is processed differently and CAn help speed up the "pick me up"

Yeah, thought the same thing. Water won't sober you up, but with alcohol being a diuretic and making you pee, drinking water helps keep you hydrated and all your organs functioning properly. And if you can employ a 1:1 rule, where you drink a glass of water for every alcoholic drink, it keeps you from over drinking.
