Bladerunner. Hands down. Genre defining, deep deep story, perfect acting/casting.
Going easy with this and saying The Godfather Part II. Arguably a bit better than the first film, II covers the pasts of multiple characters as we witness betrayal and a pre-Walter White character conversion of a man completely amassed in his own corrupt filth in the present.
Rowdy Roddy Piper in They Live followed closely by Sam Hell comes to Frogtown
All I know is, when that Star Destroyer went across the screen in Star Wars an entire new world opened up for me as a kid.
