I laughed my a$$ off as Paige had her back to Caitlin who was inbounding the ball with around 1.1 seconds to go...Caitlin threw the ball off Paige's leg and the clock wound down to .08 sec. Clark has a high IQ as far as basketball is concerned....

That play was genius....that play will be shown many times thru the coming years (Clark outsmarting Bueckers). I'm still laughing about it. Paige turned and the look on her face was like, Oh ****, I've been punked...lol

Unfortunately the gamecocks will probably be punked Sunday by those low lives. It is unjust and cruel for Iowa to have three white referees officiating their games..Dawn should just walk off the court with her team on Sunday if three white officials are calling the game. This will be worse than playing BYU in Utah.

Last night was the first time I saw Clark. Found it interesting the blocking technique she uses without the ball. Never seen a player follow her forearm around using it to clear a path. Gotta wonder if anyone else did this would a foul be called because I have never seen that before... other than maybe at a Pee Wee football game.

Personally, I’m glad the Lady Gamecocks get another shot at Clark.

I am not one that typically bashes officials as a whole group/game thing (sometimes maybe a call or two a game). However, the officials played a significant role in that game. UConn had a good plan that kept Clark in check until they had three players in foul trouble (some were obviously earned, some the replay showed that nobody even touched the Iowa player). At that point, they had to shift from being that aggressive. Clark repeatedly created space by ducking a shoulder or a forearm push off. It was almost NBAish…protecting the superstar.

I hope we play D similarly…limit Clark, force someone's else to beat us. I think we can score better than UConn.

Turn that around and let someone say that about 3 black referees. Go back in your hole with that racist crap

Dawn should refuse to play if there are ANY white referees. She is committed to protecting her players from racism and a white official calling any foul against a black player is obvious racism.

Seems like a bit of hyperbole. I didn’t see it, but they were in inbounding the ball with the lead and 1.1 seconds left, right? It doesn’t sound like it’s a play that had an impact on the outcome of the game.

WBB’s marketing team wants Caitlin to win it all. The refs play a part in that whether it’s willful or unintentional.

I'm pretty sure Iowa's chance of winning was 99.9% with 1.1 seconds left.

Oh, man, it was a play of monumental consequence! The whole world has recognized the brilliance of this tactic since I invented it back in rec league during the mid-1960s.😄 I wish I had gotten a patent for it.

I don’t think the refs are racist they just suck and they are told to get Clark to the finals for the attention

We need to be up by at least 10 by the end of the game to keep the officials from deciding the game

This is why I have a little bit of Clark fatigue. I don’t even follow women’s basketball all that closely, except from when I pick up peripherally from following sports in general. But people blow every single thing she does out to be the best thing ever, like this play. it had probably a 0.00001% impact on the outcome of the game.
