Two stand out for me.

Driscoll over Wilmington 14-11 in 2004. Unbelievable atmosphere, electric crowd. Amazing defensive battle took place. Wilmo got stuffed at the goal line and also fumbled on another possession deep in their in own territory which was returned for a TD. I believe Vercelli suffered an ankle injury in the game and gutted through it but just didn't seem the same. That Wilmo team was loaded. Best game I've ever been to.

The other was Carthage/Illini West over Wilmington 43-41 in 2009. Carthage opened the game by jumping out to a 14-0 lead on back to back bombs (they never passed) and once Wilmo settled in it was 14-14. Went back and forth for awhile and big plays were made by both teams. Wilmo had the lead very late in the game and we thought it was over and it was something like 4 and 20 and Wilmo got popped for a defensive holding call which resulted in a 1st down. Of course Ser Whitaker ( holy speedster, went to mizzou for track I think ) busts a long TD run to give Carthage the win. Great game. For the Wilmo guys, what was up with that bus that came down. I believe it got the boot from the stadium?

Agree with Caravan. Even though the team I root for lost both times, Wilmington @ Carthage 2009 and Driscoll @ Wilmington 2094 were absolutely amazing games.

In the Driscoll game Vercelli tried to give it a go for a series in the 3rd Q but was unable to continue.

Then hands down that was the best quarterfinal game ever! People were up in the trees watching that game. I think some of the animals from the Brookfield Zoo were in attendence.

What playoff game was the Dergo performance with Morris/JCA?
Yep that one too. Morris beat JCA 28-21, Dergo 366 rushing yards.

MC-13, HOmewood flossmoor 12. 1988 quarter finals!

MC Tight End makes a diving catch off of a tipped pass in the rain in the end zone with no time in the clock!!!!!!

Hard to top that

Both great games...as for the bus are you referring to the camouflage school bus? If so I have partied on that thing for many occasions. Not sure if it still runs. But hey, we arnt called Wilmatucky for no reason.

Hard to recall now, but, I remember it being all white with purple lettering? It was parked behind the visitor stands and was getting pretty rowdy. Late in maybe the 3rd they drove off. Others were saying they were asked to leave. Can't really say or remember much now but awesome day nonetheless. I ( and many others ) thought this was the state title game and winner would cake-walk to the title. It lived up to the billing but Stillman had something to say about all that the next weekend

Actually, I'll go with the 'Brook v Hinsdale S 2001 game. Apparently went under the radar, but Hinsdale S was HIGHLY ranked, top 5 at the time I think. They were running their option offense like a machine. Along the way they beat the 8A champ, the West Suburban Silver champ, and Mt. Carmel in rd 2.

I said to myself. I don't know what happened in the Mt. Carmel game, but you're not beating a typical 'Brook team with triple option. Defensively Raiders pretty much stifled the prolific Hornets all afternoon, but at one point their ball carrier broke free for an apparent LONG TD run, but was literally caught at the 1 and ball poked out through the endzone to preserve the 19-14 victory.

Or if we want to go with Raider losses (seems silly, but whatever) the 2005 game vs WWS was a good one as was the 2006 game vs LWE.
