Has to go to Rocky 4. Music montage usage at its best. Maybe Rocky 4 is the greatest musical of all time.

Joe Dirt has a great soundtrack. But I’m thinking maybe you are actually talking about music that fits perfectly with what’s happening in the movie at the moment. Either way, I think the joe Dirt soundtrack is hard to beat

Rocky 3 is good too. I just watched Lucas. Not sure if it has a montage but a great 80's movie. Maniac from Flashdance was great as well.
