1951 Alistar Sim and 1984 George C Scott are about equal.
1970 Scrooge Albert Finney
1938 Version
1971 Cartoon

I paid to see Scrooged in late 80's. Hate it to this day.

Have to say Im a Christmas Carol junkie, so can find something to like in most any adaptation.

But favorites would be...….

Scrooged
Muppets
Patrick Stewart version
Reginald Owen version

Heck I even like the Albert Finney musical version.

This is the correct order. The list above that was bagging on the 1970 Scrooge gave a terrible take on it. It does the book version justice and is a really good musical, as far as musicals go. The door knocker whispering "Scroooge" nearly made me poo my pants as a kid and the complete version includes his visit to hell, which was also traumatising to a 7 year old.

As for Scrooged, I love Bill Murray but I think it was bad casting for both him and the movie. Just seems like a bad fit to me.

I like the Disney version with Jim Carey the best.

It's probably the most true to the book as well.

The best overall is the Mickey Mouse version with Scrooge. Tells the story and is over in 30 minutes. Don't need 2 hours to get the point.
