No. Saul does say his real name is McGill when he first meets Walter.
That will be happening at some point. How it gets tied in is the question. Hector needs a new trucking operation. As far as he's concerned, the cover is completely blown on "Regalo Helado." Of course, Nacho could offer Hector his assurances that the hit was isolated, not likely to re-occur. But how could Nacho offer such assurance to Hector without bringing suspicion to himself?
In Breaking Bad, it is Hector that brings Gus Fring into the cartel for his "chicken cover" while putting a bullet in the head of Gus' partner, a partner who possessed a high science acumen - Walter-esque - or so the viewer was made to believe. This occurred as a BB back story, before the time of Walter White, leaving this unanswered question: how was the cartel in a position to need only Gus Fring's trucks, yet not be interested in the lucrative opportunities that could have come through Gus' partner?
That question has only been recently answered in these episodes of Saul, as the viewer sees the earlier formation of Hector's business with the cartel already includes meth-type fun.
Gus' partner took a bullet in the head because the cartel saw a threat to their business - refused to explore the possibility of a superior product. In intentional opposition to that error of arrogance, Gus Fring began his revenge against the cartel when he met Walter White.

Meh, you know it's just for show and Chuck won't pursue it. Not sure how many seasons they plan on getting out of this but if they push to turn into Saul wouldn't that end this show?
We know Chuck doesn't pursue it because Saul still has his license in BB. He would be disbarred otherwise.
He could pursue it and Jimmy could get off on some unlawful recording technicality or something (just spitballing)
And they don't have to end the show when Jimmy becomes Saul. They could theoretically continue it all the way through Breaking Bad. We rarely see Saul, so they could do entire seasons of Saul during his Breaking Bad years

Apparently New Mexico is a "one party" state so there wasn't anything illegal about Chuck recording that conversation.
Jimmy is going to have to get rid of Chuck in some way to keep going either by having him killed (which I don't think he would do, sat next to him in the hospital etc.) or maybe exposing Chuck's "disease" as what it is, a psychological disorder, and having him declared insane at some point.
Good point. I figured Chuck/the writers knew that about New Mexico law so I was just throwing ish out there as a possibility.

They said on Talking Saul after the show last night that it would be an incredible coincidence and that their fans were smarter than they gave them credit for so yeah, it's not a coincidence.
They did something similar in season 2 of BB. The 1st, 4th, 10th and 13th episodes (the episodes with flash forwards) combine "737 Down Over ABQ".
I'm ready for Chuck to bite the dust once and for all, he's a real drag on the show.
The last few episodes with him have been great. He even out Jimmy'd Jimmy with that tape recording.
You think he is the foil/Saint, but in reality, he's the better con man.
Slippin Jimmy will always be the better con man because Chuck plays within the rules, Jimmy doesn't. Even though Chuck got the tape recording, Jimmy will find a way around it, he always does. Anyhow, I'm past the point of finding the Chuck/Jimmy story interesting. I'm more interested in seeing Jimmy move on to Saul.
I think Chuck will give Jimmy the choice of stop practicing law or he will pursue charges...that's when he becomes Saul
