Better talent than the 2-10 record.

The 19-20 Louisville team has alot more talent than there record indicated. There's a ton of speed on tbis yrs team and plenty of talent
Coach P quit on last years team and then the players quit on themselves. The talent on this years team with the quality of coaches on this team , it will be such a differant for the coming year. Not saying 10- 2 , but i can see 8-4 ot 7-5 for this team. Recruiting will be fine most of the talent are jr and sophomore with s few rs-freshmen. But this year CSS and staff hopefully will bring in a top 35 class.

Top 35 is ambitious, but we’ll see. I think if the team could have built on the Alabama effort they might have won 5-6 games and saved Bobby’s job, especially if they appeared to be getting better. But I suspect that you are right- Bobby quit first, and everybody else followed. There is talent, but with a new system and with fragile psyches, I’m just looking for improvement through the year. It’s a tough schedule. 8 wins would be absolutely phenomenal, with COY going to Satterfield. We’ll see.

Love coach Satterfield but if this team goes 8-4 or 7-5 with the brutal schedule they have, our new head coach will be National Coach of the Year and it most likely wouldn’t even be a close vote.

I’ll take 4 or more wins and a team that fights you to the end and doesn’t beat themselves.

I'll go with 4-5 wins and hope to see competitive fball in the losses and not blown out. Would be great to go 6-6 and go to a bowl game for more practice reps etc

I think it is going to be a bad year in terms of wins and losses. We have some talent but it’s uneven. Big issues on D line and big questions at QB. O line has some talent but not much depth. Realistically we are only favored in 2 games - WKU and EKU. The toss up games based on point spread will be FSU, Wake Forest, UVA. I would think all other games the opposition will be favored by at least a touchdown. So even if we win the 2 games we are favored and all the toss ups you are talking 5 wins. Unfortunately 2 out 3 toss up games are on the road.

I’m expecting 3 wins, maybe 4 if the coaching staff can get these guys in positions to succeed.

I personally would throw Cuse, BC, and NCst into the coin toss, as well, but we'll see. I think 4-8/5-7 is doable. 100% agree with your assessment on our uneven areas. Hoping the scheme helps to hide some of it, but against Clemson/ND I'm afraid what will happen. It will set the precedent on recruiting.....there are a lot of ifs and ands right now.

Cuse and BC had outstanding seasons last year and return a ton of talent. NC St loses a lot but again that’s a road game.

UVA is favored to win the division & is ranked top 25 by multiple preseason polls. That’s not a toss up.

If they are favored to win the division then I think that says more about that division than it does about UVA.

What is also says is that Bronco M. @ UVA is a pretty fair CFB Coach. He had to do what CSS is tasked with now.....and has made steady progress each year. It helps him that he is in a fertile recruiting area.

But UVA is an example of what solid coaching can do to improve the lot of a program that was a mess before his arrival. Now if CSS can do it too....Cards fans will have much to look forward too....with some patience.

There are seven teams in that division, & if UVA wins it this year that would be seven different winners in seven years (so every team once). Crazy stat.
But Perkins is a dynamic QB & their defense will be tough.

The Cards have a VERY tough scheudle. 4 wins would be a good season. CBP did not recruit OL or DL greatly, Keep these guys healthy and the Cards might have a chance at 5

Just win to see effort, fight, and improvement over the course of the season. I really think we can win 6, but I just want to focus on ND and getting the Satterfield era off to a great start with a big upset win at home!

It'll take some time to rebuild the program, so anything more than 4 wins will be a pleasant surprise IMO. Hope people will just give this new coaching staff a pass this coming year. Don't expect a winning record. I seriously doubt that happens this year.

Breakin my promise, but I think you guys are selling your team short. I think Satterfield will bring a different discipline to your team. Your kids got speed. Rough schedule, but that'll pay off in recruiting down the road.
Five wins wouldn't shock. Six isn't out of the question.

An 8 win season, it could happen, but I’m not getting my hopes up for that. I agree we have better talent than an 2-10 last year, but do we have it all in the right spots? That’s the big question. I’m predicting 5-6 wins and I would be good with that in CSS first season.
