He's only slightly more entertaining than the afternoon show on 107.5

Back in the pre-season, Paul said he'd leave the country if the SEC didn't win the national title.

Safe travels, Paul! Wonder if he'll do his show from overseas?
He would be a hit at Disney Paris speaking ''Alabama French'' as Woody in the Toy Story exhibit

Remember how he spent three years dog-talking Jim Harbaugh at Michigan? He made multi-millions each of those years. He made multi-millions in all the years since. He'll make multi-millions this year. He'll be making multi-millions next year.

Yeah, I'm not really sure how he turned what he does into a multi-million $ job. He's not particularly more astute about college football than the average poster here. He's right sometimes. He's wrong a lot.

Good looking people get all the breaks.

His callers are what catapulted his Alabama radio show into the national spotlight and got him the SEC network gig. His show was added to Sirius XM and made Legend, Jim from Tuscaloosa, I-man, Charles from Reeltown, Phyllis etc. into household names.

All the talking head has to do is stir the pot. If he can keep stirring the pot, then being correct is of little importance.

Some of those callers you wouldn't even give a curiosity smile as they ranted at the end of the bar near last call.

His show is, and has always been, about the callers. It was an interesting microcosm of the male, Deep South college football fanbase.

I don't care much for Finebaum's analysis or opinion, he comes off a little arrogant as well, as such I don't pay him any attention.

Years ago, I used to really enjoy listening to Mark Packer on his call in show on my way home from the office, the whiner line was a particular favorite of mine. I enjoyed Packers's insight and personality, he often had local sportswriters and occasionally a professional athlete as guest, his show helped to make a tough rush hour drive home much tolerable.

I’ve never gotten past all the cheap shots he took against USC when we became a member of the SEC. As far as I know, he’s never recanted those comments. On a brighter note, none of us will be described as the ugliest male on the planet as long as he’s not pushing up daisie.

Was he wrong (football)? We have done nothing to contribute to the SEC mastery of collegiate football. Baseball and women's basketball is another story but we're all on this message board because of football.
