A lower-end D1 team throws some high press action on Purdue and they're completely befuddled. The amazing thing is that St. Peter's lost 11 games, finished three games behind Iona in the Metro Atlantic regular season, and is only in the NCAAs via winning their conference tourney.

So you have B1G level guards that can't get entry passes to 7-4 and 6-10 centers against a team whose tallest player is 6-7 and was in trouble at time. Ivey played like a deer in the headlights all night, and Purdue couldn't hit from outside. Total choke job by Purdue and most of the league this year. If they get more than 4-5 teams in next year, it's a joke.

Eh let’s not over react. Big 10 is a good, not great league that can’t seem to find a way to win a national title. St. Peter’s has clearly caught lightning in a bottle. This is one of those one in a lifetime deals for these kids. That’s what makes the NCAA tournament fun.

And no one should be surprised that Purdue (and the B1G) once again underachieves in the tournament. I admit I was a bit surprised they made it to the 8, but then Michigan surprised me as well.
