So we recruited a transfer with no hands? Seems like a good one to go after. Is Williams out cause he’s hurt or a quitter? I’m assuming quitter since he just wrestled; but we didn’t look into his past enough to know this before giving him a bag? All the excuses being made for our wrestlers are pathetic. There’s no excuses for the LR transfers besides our coaches either suck at scouting recruits or are too lazy to do their due diligence. Also if Keuter is so injured why can he dive around the mat like a fish outta water the last 30 seconds of the match when he’s losing.
Are you saying you never saw Bailey wrestle before coming to Iowa??

I know a guy that saw this coming for years now and got piled on for it continuously. You were one that piled on several years ago. That idiot Spooner was easily the worst though, from his basement.

False. I've been off the Brands train for many years. We have agreed there. My responses have generally been to your individual takes and proposed solutions.

Though it isn't false that I often do post from my basement. Sick burn there, for sure.

Not trying to put on rose colored glasses here but out side of the top 10? Kinda seems like literally everything would have to go wrong. illinois got 10th last year with 44.5 points
How many of those were from Byrd?

Imagine watching Iowa wrestle worse at the end of the season year after year after year after year and being concerned about the "training cycle."

LOL...amazing. Wouldn't want to mess with that greatness!
Bueller?… Bueller?… Bueller?

100% when's the last time they wrestled even with their seed or above?

Didn't Bailey and Kueter come into the season WITH those issues? As a result, they have been held out as much as possible to minimize making those issues worse. We know nothing about Angelo until we see him wrestle next week.

Still, the point isn't to get into March 100% healthy that is NOT possible for ANY team. The point was to get to March as healthy as POSSIBLE. As far as Mo is concerned, he was cleared to wrestle by the Iowa medical staff. That is common knowledge.

As I keep saying, the next 4 weeks will tell the tale. Having 10-14 matches, instead of 20+, during the regular season sure as hell won't be a negative factor...
If all 10 wrestlers were injury free and healthy going into nationals where do you think they land points wise. I'm thinking 4th or 5th at best

Drake, Cali, Kennedy, Buchanan and Keuter last year's nattys I think all wrestled above or at their seed.
[/
Okay a couple of them finished at or higher than their seed last year. And what place did they finish in the team race? You want to talk about the last 15 years?

It has? So he does it because it looks cool?
Giving his history of taping left hand, I still wonder if he just had some past problem or joint condition that predisposed it to dislocation, so taping was to prevent injury. Right hand now, either freak injury or also sign of some predisposition to knuckle dislocation?? Regardless, doesn't bode well.

I think we will have to wrestle really well to finish 6th. Ayala, a 2 time finalist will have an awful seed and truly might not AA. Petersen at 125 will have to wrestle as well as he has all year to AA. 141 is a no. 149 is a no. 157 is a no. Caliendo will place top 3 in my opinion. Kennedy, 4th to R12. Ferrari, who knows at this point. 197 won't quaify. Keueter will have to beat someone and until that happens he is a no also. Truly epic for our program. Beth sure as heck should have been in contact with Gable and on the phone with a few great candidates. I truly hope it's Metcalf. He was a GREAT Hawk and could bring in some great assistants and recruits.
What exactly has Metcalf proven as a coach? He coached ready made David Carr?

I’m seeing 4 AA’s.
Who is your 4th? Ayala, Peterson, or Block? Too bad Block couldn’t keep up his early season performance, he would be a lock for AA. Don’t know if the cut started getting to him, or if he just reverted to the wrestler he really is after a hot start?

Caliendo, Kennedy, Ferrari, plus one other from Peterson, Ayala, Arnold, and Kueter.

As everyone realizes, Drake probably loses in the quarters and that's a long road back to AAing.
I'm going with Peterson just because 125 isn't particularly strong.
