@MSU158 Obviously your thing has always been to troll PSU fans. This thread is a new look for you. You are now trolling Iowa fans in the same way Jimmy Cinnabon does. Crazy

you didn’t think you had a chance at 125, or 184? You just conceded those weights? As a PSU fan I sure didn’t.

You are something else my man. Never change. I just read thru this thread and laughed my *** off. Trying to tell pissed off Iowa fans they should be “happy” with the performance.

Brands should take a TON of heat after this tourney. To have the talent he has and to get the seeds he got his wrestlers is a disservice to his whole team. All he had to do was get Angelo or Dean on the mat 1 more time in last month and they both get no worse than 3 seeds. Him not being aware of match counts and criteria for seeding is mind boggling

Truth hurts? And some simple math or just paying attention would put me closer to the end of gen x and proud. A LONG ways from boomerville.
I'm 62, technically a boomer since I was born in 63 however, sometimes they fifdke all around with the yesrs and I'm something like Gen X or another made up whatever you call these things. And there's nothing wrong with being a boomer.

We tend to have common sense, we aren't hyper reactionary, and we see a bigger picture.

Tell me you didn’t wrestle without saying you didn’t wrestle….and if you did wrestle, it surely wasn’t at a high level. Ask every damn wrestler that has about the difference. I sure as hell am not making it up.

Hell, you can do a quick Google and find Gable talking about it in depth and I am sure you wouldn’t have to look hard to see Metcalf talk about it as well…
I don't post on here very much, but to me, you are a knowledgeable poster. I don't know if it's age and how wrestling has changed over the years. Or more likely the majority of posters didn't wrestle. Keep doing God's work.

I wasn’t the one bashing boomers. I just simply pointed out that I am over a dozen years too young to be classified as one.

Hell, if you really look, all my arguments are with stances on here and I do my absolute best to never get personal.

Now, I will openly admit that I think most of your analogies suck, but I admire your passion and love for the program.

“Settle” can be a very broad term. I have never been advocating for settling. I just hate the “grass is always greener on the other side” mentality and the crazy fanatic take that we should just be winning because we are supposed to. It negates every single challenge there is to actually make that happen and ignores everything good that has.

Make no mistake. I am fully aware that this has been the worst season under Brands and it hasn’t even been close. However, my main objective has simply been to expose the hypocrisy on this board. Many act like this has been the norm when they have basically destroyed everyone but PSU every single regular season prior.

Again, I don’t think anyone should settle, but the Brands bros deserve way more credit than this board gives and I am still confident they will finish this season way higher than most on here try to paint them as…

Also, I have been heavily critical about their not getting guys to March as healthy as possible and have even called them out for messing up the brick in the Block match. It is very obvious they have their weaknesses. Everyone does. I just think they have way less than most on here like to push…
I agree with you that our wrestling today has been the best since probably the first day of the national duals; what has left a bad taste though, and why for me its tied to the ongoing coaching conversation, is the late "mistakes" that have cost us points all season. whether Williams against ISU, or Neb, for example, and there have been others, or today, Gabe with a second left, or Ryder with the stalls. So while the overall product is massively better yes, I'm still seeing things that I attribute to coaching that's holding us back from reaching whatever our potential could be, and not saying that's challenging PSU right now, but just being the best version of ourselves.

I don’t know about “juggernaut” but all evidence is that that he’s (logically) much stronger offensively at 174. He’s clearly more cautious at 184 and 197, and for good reason.

Also, whoever said he’s a 165 is an absolute buffoon. I’m too tired to look for that genius level post.
That was mitch with his anon username.

You honestly think you use logic when we go back and forth? You and nearly all your brethren argue just like a woman or a Democrat. In fact, you argue like one that is both. All feelings and emotions without any concrete data and obfuscate and insult when clear data is presented to the contrary.

But, don’t feel bad. You fit right in here, so it is easy to feel like you are right when stuck in an echo chamber…
Not all democrats are sensitive. Remember you started it.

Bailey has wrestled better than I expected thus far.
I'd also expect Iowa to have a 125lbr that can advance past the qtrs of the big 10s, vs relying on a R12 5th year transfer.
I'd expect Iowa to have a 149 that can go 7 mins and not give up 4 stalling points to lose.
I'd expect Iowa to put a 157 on the mat that can win a match.
I'd expect Iowa to not have a 174lbr wrestling 197 bc the D3 transfer quit.
I'd expect Iowa's #1 pfp recruit at Hwt to be able to advance past the qtrs.
All "waiting for March" has been is a great big denial game for a program in significant decline.
Bailey Correct
Dean is pretty good, I would agree we should have better, Hopefully we do with DeLuca!!!
I am BAFFELED what happened to BLOCK!?!??! Do something!!! ANYTHING!!!! Dive in on an ankle and hold on for 15 seconds!!!!
157- still not get what happened with williams?
"our" 197 F*CK*d us royally!!!! < these types of things do appear to happen to us TWOOOO much!!!
Heavy I will agree again, what in good LORD is happening???

MSU is DEFENDING the HAWKS and what he is saying is mostly correct. They have as a whole been wrestling better and TUFFer but we ALL agree it is FAR from enough!!!

I KEEP trying to make the point, it is time to start think OUTSIDE the box, PUSHING some limits, taking a few gambles. You can go back to AJ, where I said I didn't like his "attitude" W A Y before he had all his problems!!! That being said, I also said it was time to take a chance!!! He should be wrestling 197 for IOWA!!! BASSETT is another, at some point, IOWA has to make some B1G moves, but MANY questions have NOT been answered about WHAT in all hell is going on behind the scenes????

GO HAWKS - lets finish up as STRONG as possible!!!

Then you should apologize for being a douche bag with such a stoopid statement
Lmfao, that isn’t how it works. Because everyone doesn’t fit does NOT mean my point doesn’t. Stereotypes fit MOST for a reason….nice try though!

Well, if I believed everybody that said you had a stinky Coochie, I would be believing a stereotype.

And there it is. Now I see why this matters so much to you. Stereotype fits, further bolstering my point. Thank you for your contribution!
