8 through to the semis. 9 for Mizzou.
Looks like a 2 team race between us and Mizzou. We have 2 matches with them in the semis and it probably be 1-1 with Fix & Mauler advancing in those matches.

We will need an outstanding semifinals to stick with Missouri. I thought those wrestling in the quarters Young and Voinovich had the biggest wins. Of course, Daton was very dominant.
I see 6 making the finals for us.

A little bummed Hardell isn’t doing the commentary this year.
Sheets lost in consolation by giving up a stalling point with 2 stall calls while his opponent was standing and Sheets kept his legs in. Then Wyatt let him go and gave up the takedown. Good guy but basically had an average year of wrestling with lots of losses. I hope we get a good 65 for next year. This next 2 1/2 sessions will tell how good we wrestled.
I can’t find it, but does he still get to make Nationals, or is his season done?

Damn, V drops a 7-1 decision. Mauler got a 6 point move off of a scramble with less than a minute left.
Mauller with the 6 point move off a counter on a good shot by VV. Wins 7-1 but VV wrestled well. That kid is going to AA before his career is over, he's improved quite a bit this year.
G gets a 5-2 Dec in OT. No points in SV then G got a reversal in rideout 1, escape in rideout 2, then G got a TD.
Bad ref for Gfeller’s match. Same dude as at the last bedlam. Wright didn’t take 1 shot.
Wittlake drops a 5-3 Dec. He had an ankle then leg with less than 30 seconds left but couldn't convert it.
Wittlake had the ankle 2x but does not have the strength to be at 184.
I hope Carter Young did not tear any ligaments and can wrestle tomorrow or if not can wrestle at Nationals.
I am tired of seeing OSU wrestlers being majored or pinned. We need wrestlers who are long and know how to counter. I would like wrestlers who can finish scoring shots and counter opponent's shots. I guess those wrestlers only go to Penn state or our opponents in the Big 12.
Sloan a stud and u23 world champion I think. Tough matchup.
