What a shame! But, we are dealing with a pandemic. The health and welfare of the players, coaches and fans should be of paramount concern. The odds are that March Madness will be next. Hopefully, these actions help contain it and we can resume normalcy soon.

It's looking like that and am shocked they have not done so already.
Our company does all the signage for the NCAA events, and we've already produced about 80% of it. Was just waiting until 5 o'clock on Sunday to get the brackets an hour before they're announced, to finish up some of the individual team signage at the various venues. This is like a $2,000,000 project, so we're out maybe 10% of that, which is mainly install costs.

The mortality is primarily elderly folks and those with pre existing lung disease. These people should self quarantine from others as much as possible to prevent infection. This is important because the transmissability is so much higher than influenza and we can't even contain that. Hence the idea that this won't spread nationwide as much as the flu is a pipe dream. Healthy, non-elderly folks much less likely to have severe disease. As more and more healthy people become infected, eventually progressing through the disease to become non infectious and immune to this particular virus, the less vectors will be available for spread of the disease. Concept is known as herd immunity. No need for mass hysteria, but definitely a need to be cautious. If you are not a high risk person as noted above you still need to be cautious with those you know that are. Just flat out keep children away from elderly and folks with lung disease as best you can. Be extra cautious to wash your hands when around at risk people because you can contact the virus as a healthy individual and spread it during the latency period before symptoms occur or may never have symptoms at all while being contagious. Avoid any unnecessary travel, including within your local community for a while.

I had been making yearly trips to Vegas to watch the opening rounds of March Madness...glad I decided not to book the trip this year.

On a side note, watching WVU in Vegas is great. If we win its more reason to celebrate and the sting of a loss only lasts for however long it takes to leave the sports book...too much fun to be had to hang your head about a basketball game, assuming you weren't betting foolishly.

Its funny how some on here want to play politics and blame the democrats. Last week Trump said the virus was no big deal this week there is a travel ban in effect which is a waste its already too late. If the democrats are to blame then Trump is as well for playing into their hands. Maybe if Trump had listened to Doctors and scientists like he should have instead of bankers and Drug addict Rush Limbaugh he wouldn't have been caught with his pants down.

This isn’t Trumps fault. The funny thing is the Democratic Party seem to be happy about this. That’s amazing to me.

I dont think there is much blame for any politician, unless you count the ones in China...

The media hysterics do not help, but they never let a good crisis go to waste.

1,000 people died in 09 before we really mobilized a response...

Keeping this off our shores entirely wasnt going to happen. With a 14 day incubation period, the only recourse would have been testing every person entering the country...dont forget Dems were upset with the China travel ban, care to guess what Joe Biden called that? Xenophobic.

The administrations response has been appropriate, imo.

Tell that to troll allen who has been blaming democrats a few posts up. Trump is not to blame for the virus but his pr has been terrible. A few days ago he said this was nothing now he has changed course. He has been exposed for the incompetent nit wit that he is.

The media was going to attack him no matter what he did. Thats just a broken record.

Inducing an unnecessary panic isnt leadership.

That nothing but the typical response from the Fake news aka fox news network.

Here is the quote that has you in hysterics...

Now the Democrats are politicizing the coronavirus. You know that, right? Coronavirus. They’re politicizing it. We did one of the great jobs . . . They tried the impeachment hoax. That was on a perfect conversation. They tried anything, they tried it over and over, they’ve been doing it since you got in. It’s all turning, they lost, it’s all turning. Think of it. Think of it. And this is their new hoax. But you know, we did something that’s been pretty amazing. We’re 15 people [cases of coronavirus infection] in this massive country. And because of the fact that we went early, we went early, we could have had a lot more than that . . . we’ve lost nobody, and you wonder, the press is in hysteria mode.

There is a travel ban in Rochelle NY, just outside of NYC.

Put in place by a Democrat. Why are there not court challenges, wall to wall coverage interviewing people on how they are loosing their rights and protests over that?

This political year is starting to remind me of Jimmy Carter's 1980 Presidential campaign. His own party couldn't stand him and the D.C.-NYC political press thought he was a rube. Once that snowball started rolling it was over from the get-go. The guy couldn't catch a break.
